When I say it’s free it is really free, I just stumble a site that give links to free software that you could find in the internet. It is not those software that you can download from torrent or rapidshare with keygen, but this are sotwares from the open source. When they say it’s free , you have the following freedom :
- The freedom to run the program for any purpose.
- The freedom to study how the program works, and change it to make it do what you wish.
- The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help your neighbor.
- The freedom to improve the program, and release your improvements (and modified versions in general) to the public, so that the whole community benefits.
A great resourcess of programs, but the only problem is the program that you might download is not stable, so I would suggest of googling it first and look for reviews before doing anything.
The Free Software Directory is a project of the Free Software Foundation (FSF) and United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). We catalog useful free software that runs under free operating systems — particularly the GNU operating system and its GNU/Linux variants.
Licenses are verified for each and every program listed in this directory.
So all I can say is try at your own risk.
I am using wordweb and it runs smoothly and very usefull for me…
