In just few days before the election there are some problems being seen after having the mock election in occidental Mindoro, Errors such as counting errors which they are now calling automated cheating. Ellen Tordesilla have a detailed reports about the 76,000 Memory cards to be replaced by Commission on Elections (Comelec) due to the problem that has been encountered in Occidental mindoro.
In mock elections on Monday conducted by the Comelec and Smartmatic-TIM in six towns in Occidental Mindoro, votes for presidential candidates Manny Villar and Benigno “Noynoy†Aquino III were counted for Gilberto Teodoro Jr. of the administration party, according to the Nacionalista Party (NP).
So will this lead to the proposal of manual counting check that has been proposed as reported in television ? Compact flash (CF) cards is a memory cards where data is being stored from a PCOS Machine. This event will surely heat up dialogues about the authenticity of the results for the coming Philippine 2010 Election results. So do you think COMELEC and SMARTMATIC-TIM can make it ?
I think it’s too late for COMELEC to replace these 76,000 CF Memory Cards. This could result to failure of elections which in turn could be used as a venue for cheating.
could it be that this is a ploy for GMA to retain power?
