Indeed, everyone’s seem to be excited with Toshiba’s Excite X10. This is one of the thinnest tablets yet and was unveiled during the CES 2012 in Las Vegas. This is one of the competitors of another sleek tablet, the Transformer Prime. The Excite X10 is 0.66 mm thinner than the Prime and is 0.4 lb. much lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
The Excite 10 is appreciated for its full size ports plus a removable battery. It has a number of connection options for Micro USB 2.0, microSD card, and Micro HDMI. It also has built in speakers and a 2 megapixel camera up front and 5 megapixel camera at the back with matching LED backlight.
The Excite 10 is impressive with its sleek and smooth look. It is made from magnesium alloy and looks glossy and really top of the line. It has a good resolution screen with 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution on a 10.1 inch screen. It is covered with Gorilla Glass for added durability. It also comes with Bluetooth support and Wi-Fi connection.
It is something new for Toshiba to go with sleeker designs. Their previous laptops are all feature-packed and not so much detail is put on design. This thin and light tablet is really something marketable as a lot of tablet users are looking for something portable and easy to carry. The industrial look gives it a very modern look that a lot of people love.
The Toshiba Excite X10 will be out mid first quarter of the year. It does have a steep price of $530 for a 16GB model and $600 for a 32GB model. With the Prime, iPad and Kindle tablet sold at a lower price, we wonder if the Toshiba Excite X10 is worth the switch?
