There is no confirmed operating system that it will run on, but there are speculations that it will be on a Google Android 4.0 or the Ice Cream Sandwich. If not, it might use the Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Droid 4 will be launch at the same time that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be out in the market.
