The Nexus 7 is powered by a Tegra 3 quad-core processor with 1GB RAM. Its display has a resolution of 1200 x 800 HD with 216 pixels per inch. The display is backlit and features a 1.2 MP front-facing camera located at the top of the tablet front. The front of the tablet is covered entirely in Corning glass.
Google has placed three basic hardware controls for its latest offer. On the right side is the power/sleep button below which is the volume rocker. The others use Android’s on-screen software buttons for back and home navigation. A micro USB port is found at the bottom of the unit along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The thin speaker port is at the rubberized back of the unit along with the Nexus and ASUS branding. A microphone included with the unit can be found at the top of the device. Considering its price, the Nexus 7 brings with it impressive specs which makes it a comfortable gadget to throw around in your bag.
