For me I am monitoring comments in my blog thru e-mail notification, where I set up my blog to send notice to my e-mail whenever there are new comments to moderate or respond.  The application only supports wordpress.org blog ( Self Hosted Blogs ) , Comment Push is currently free in the app store (note: iTunes link) .

The application will not be able to open up the official WordPress iPhone app but instead launches you within Comment Push itself, who gives you the option to visit your blog in Safari. ( by Blog Herald )

So I believe this applicatyion is very useful for bloggers on the go.

Edit the plugin via the editor interface, find this line (near the top):

There are two clues that your WordPress site has been attacked.

There are strange additions to the pretty permalinks, such as example.com/category/post-title/%&(%7B$%7Beval(base64_decode($_SERVER%5BHTTP_REFERER%5D))%7D%7D|.+)&%/. The keywords are “eval” and “base64_decode.”

The second clue is that a “back door” was created by a “hidden” Administrator. Check your site users for “Administrator (2)” or a name you do not recognize. You will probably be unable to access that account, but Journey Etc. has a possible solution.

So what are you waiting for act now and upgrade. But be sure to back your files.

Unfortunately, I missed some places when fixing the privilege escalation issues for 2.8.1. Luckily, the entire WordPress community has our backs. Several folks in the community dug deeper and discovered areas that were overlooked. With their help, the remaining issues are fixed in 2.8.3. Here are some of the issues that are fixed in beta 1.

• Certain themes were calling get_categories() in such a way that it would fail in 2.8. 2.8.1 works around this so these themes won’t have to change.
• Dashboard memory usage is reduced.  Some people were running out of memory when loading the dashboard, resulting in an incomplete page.
• The automatic upgrade no longer accidentally deletes files when cleaning up from a failed upgrade.
• A problem where the rich text editor wasn’t being loaded due to compression issues has been worked around.
• Extra security has been put in place to better protect you from plugins that do not do explicit permission checks.

Just remember it is still in beta. Anything can still happen.

The WordPress 2.8 Beta Version is not yet stable. and there are still open issues. But the list of changes shown in Codex tells me that I really need to watch out for this latest version to be stable. More Updates here

Anybody  tried it ? What is your impression ?

I actually saw this gift giving thing from Jaypee and I immediately contacted maya to request my WordPress Schwag. And after my comments and some e-mail exchange , I would like to confirm that it is now here with me.

To  the WordPress that gave me this one thanks a lot. I usually wear the pin when I am going out, but not many seems to understand what that pin means . LOL , It only means that blogging in Saudi Arabia is in it’s very young stage.

Sad to say that the comments are now closed and they are not giving any WordPress Schwag at the moment.

So I think this is good enough for beginners and lazy blogger’s because you don’t have to read and understand the jargons of WordPress but rather watch and understand. I think this will be really helpful to newbie since they can easily understand those technicalities that it is hard for me to understand before. Since it is also a place where we can see footage from WordCamps all over the world, it will help us be informed in the latest information and the future news about WordPress. So what do you think are you thinking YourDomain.tv and start Video Blogging . For me it will still take time.

The script that is calling /wp-includes/js/jquery.js?ver=1.2.6:11 is not responding properly and I can see some blogger_author in the custom field. Anyway I will try to search the net for a possible solution for this error. If this goes that will only mean that I need to stick first on posting via Windows Live Writer.

BTW anybody experiencing the same when they upgrade to WordPress 2.7 , this might be a plug-in compatibility problem.. Need to check out. If you find any error while browsing my site please let me know. Since this error might also affect others.

Other part of WordPress seems to be OK. It is only the New Post and New Page having this problem.

A guy named Gary Walsh taught this one

I found the problem with my site was that on writing a NEW post (not editing an existing one) there was a script that was loading the post meta for EVERY post-id in the whole database. In my case about 30,000 records. This killed the system. What I did was prevent the load of post meta by modifying the wp-adminedit-form-advanced.php and removing the load of the custom fields meta.

This fixed the problem and it loads very quickly now. May not be elegant but then again neither is loading every post in the meta!

It works for me.. but I don’t know if it affect All in One SEO Pack Plug in, because before, When I use this plug in I can usually see a custom field after I save the file but when I removed the said php script mentioned above it shows that the custom field is disabled in the WordPress Dashboard.

I confirm that All in One SEO Pack Plug in still works since when I tried to edit this post it still works how ?
