So just a reminder change it now or suffer later.

You can actually make a new username with administrator power and then later delete the admin user.

You have also to transfer the post to the new user and not delete it with the user. Again transfer the post and not to delete it. When you are about to delete your Admin User you will be asked if you want to delete the post or associate it with other user. So you just have to associate it with other user.

Always make a very hard password preferably with numbers to protect your Blogs.

Steps :

1. Make A New user and make it as an Administrator of the blog.
2. Log out and click Tool >> Clear Private Date .. ( This is to clear the cache )
3. Log in with your new username
4. Delete the Admin user name and be sure to attribute all post and links to your new username ..
5. 
6. or you can set the admin to subscriber so he cannot do anything about your blog. It is still up to you.

Ok it seems that my topic for the week involves designing a blog , I would like to discuss today tips where you can design your blog, This will involve WordPress Tweaking and making your new blog and design . I will also mix Design Tips with an SEO tips so that those pages will be optimized.

You can check your web design if it is compliant to a well know web design standard by checking some design issues that was shown in w3.org.

Designing Your Category Pages

We know that a Category Page produces a duplicate content within our Website. And we also knew that duplicate content is not healthy in our blog. So by knowing this basic SEO idea we can design our category page in a way that We can show to our visitors our category pages in a manner that it can easily be navigated and at the same time Search Engine Crawler Friendly.

So the best way to do this is to change the way our category page shown to visitors and Search Engine crawlers. I would like to teach on how I made my category pages which only shows the Permalink of the post including the the other category where the post belong. I have leave that dates so that my readers will know when I made the post. Although in the Post Pages I have decided to remove those dates since I believe that most of my page is Time Less. ( ehem )

You may copy my new codes if you want to copy my new category Pages Design. I am experimenting on the H Tags that is why I have replaced it with H2 rather that H1. Since I would like to optimized the category page name as H1. If this will not succeed I will replace them again with h1. I have also change rel tag from bookmark to follow . I am just testing it.

I just found out that the excerpt is great SEO Tool, since this is what will appear if incase somebody search your blog archives. If you do not use this before in the post editor’s optional excerpt field, the first 55 words of the post’s content are used by WordPress that leads to a duplicate content in the blog not unless you disallow crawler to indexed your archives like what I do by changing the robots.txt

The optional Post excerpt could be found at the lower part of your WordPress Write Dashboard. Juts press the ” + ” sign and add your excerpt in the box. And if you are using Windows Live Writer it can be seen by pressing ” F2 ” .

So to avoid duplicate content for archives I would suggest to use these excerpt feature of WordPress. You can write a 2 sentence telling the brief description of your post. So after about 386 post in the archives it is only now that I will implement this in my future blog post.

WordPress Excerpt should be eye catching that will give your reader an idea of what you are talking about. So are you using Post excerpt before ? any additional Tips ?
