Indeed, everyone’s seem to be excited with Toshiba’s Excite X10. This is one of the thinnest tablets yet and was unveiled during the CES 2012 in Las Vegas. This is one of the competitors of another sleek tablet, the Transformer Prime. The Excite X10 is 0.66 mm thinner than the Prime and is 0.4 lb. much lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

The Excite 10 is appreciated for its full size ports plus a removable battery. It has a number of connection options for Micro USB 2.0, microSD card, and Micro HDMI. It also has built in speakers and a 2 megapixel camera up front and 5 megapixel camera at the back with matching LED backlight.

The Excite 10 is impressive with its sleek and smooth look. It is made from magnesium alloy and looks glossy and really top of the line. It has a good resolution screen with 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution on a 10.1 inch screen. It is covered with Gorilla Glass for added durability. It also comes with Bluetooth support and Wi-Fi connection.

It is something new for Toshiba to go with sleeker designs. Their previous laptops are all feature-packed and not so much detail is put on design. This thin and light tablet is really something marketable as a lot of tablet users are looking for something portable and easy to carry. The industrial look gives it a very modern look that a lot of people love.

The Toshiba Excite X10 will be out mid first quarter of the year. It does have a steep price of $530 for a 16GB model and $600 for a 32GB model. With the Prime, iPad and Kindle tablet sold at a lower price, we wonder if the Toshiba Excite X10 is worth the switch?

You may also want to check Acer S5 which claims to be the thinnest laptop.

I think this year is a year of Netbook, More and more netbook is being seen in the market. We have seen from ASUS, MSI, Acer and others. And Now the first ever Netbook from Toshiba the NB100 will be out this October in UK. I wonder when it will be released in Saudi Arabia.

So here are the the specification :

Atom CPU, 8.9" display

1GB RAM

Windows XP or Ubuntu Linux

120GB hard drive space

WiFi and a webcam

Battery life is quoted at an alarmingly specific three hours and 47 minutes.

ethernet port

three USB ports. The USB ports are rather special, though.

They can still charge attached devices like mobile phones and media players when the netbook is in sleep mode. Toshiba call this "sleep-and-charge" functionality. Toshiba needs an originality biscuit.

The NB100 will come in a choice of three colors.

"Cosmic" black

"Bright" silver

"Champagne" gold.

The device weighs less than a kilo, and will be out in October. It’s only £260, which isn’t too bad for a device of this spec.

ASUS have designed the computers to suit different user such as Business Executives which has ASUS B50 , and other notebooks series such as F6 Notebook Series and ASUS F8 Notebook with lots of color to choose from. They also want to make gamers happy thru their Gaming Laptop – G71 and G50 ROG Notebooks

You can see the specification and details below.

We don’t have yet the price details for the following Lap Tops. Now I am puzzled maybe they intentionally make the ASUS Eee PC Leaked so that competitors will be focused on those units and not this one. Well It might be a Marketing Strategy.

Since my Toshiba Laptop is old, I am now experiencing frequent hibernating while working on it. The main reason is it heat up easily now a days. Upon searching for a solution I found out that I could have a Notebook Cooler. I bought it for about 80 Riyals ( Php 850.00 ). All I can say is it solves the problem.

So if ever you will have same problem try consider buying a notebook cooler.

Pictures taken from Canon EOS 400d using EF50 lens

I have seen some link love at the net and I would like to Thank Karlo . I would presume that most of the bloggers as well as readers are now having their vacation because today is the Easter Sunday.Well I would like also to share some worthy to read articles around the web as follows :

Madhur shares his ” 5 Tips to optimize your site for Search Engines ” a good read , this might be discussed in other blogs but you might find this in different approach.

Barbara Ling (aka Owlbert) shared her tips regarding Feedburner redirects as response to my post, a great tip since it teaches me that it is possible to retain my permalink even the feeds is supplied by Feedburner. ( replacing those feedburner url ) You might want to try her tips and let me know if it work. You just have to change your account to PRO which is free. BTW it works for me.

Abe shares information regarding ” Mozilla CEO calls Safari a malware “. Unit now I am still planning what to purchase Toshiba 14 in with good specs or Macbook Pro. ( Although still waiting for my budget )

Karlo also links to other blogs . You must check it since he provided worthy links to read.

So that’s it for now. You just have to remember that real meaning of Easter , It is none other than Jesus Christ who died in the cross to redeem our sin.

I just want to share you how Toshiba Laptop performs so that if your looking for any laptop you may consider this points that I am going to discuss. You can see specification from Notebook PC’s site.

What are my few Observation ?

Using 15″ screen the laptop is equal to a heavy laptop. I had hard time whenever I travel to different place.

After 2 years the laptop now is slow, Maybe this is because of lots of malware ? or those programs installed is cluttered ? I don’t know.

The part which is easily damaged is the switch cover for the wi-fi

After 2 years of usage The battery can now only survive with less than an hour.

After 2 years the computer get easily heat up and sometimes goes hybernate.

Why I depend on this laptop ?

Never in my entire usage of this laptop that I hung up while working a heavy calculation and different interlinking of Excel files

It is also great in tweaking some Photoshop drawings.

The wi-fi connection is great and never fail my connection. I can use the laptop in anywhere in my house without any problem in my connection.

I like the wide screen when I am doing some Office Home Work.

The screen resolution is good.

My friend also tells me that it is better to remove the battery while you are inside the house and only use the power supply. Connecting the power supply while the battery is connected will make the battery life shorter .. Is this true ?? Anybody can explain ?

So I just hope that this mini review of mine will be of help to you. If I will have to buy a new notebok, I will definitely go for a Toshiba notebook .
