It is anticipated that Kindle fire will grab the #2 spot as the best-selling tablet next to iPad by the end of this year despite some complaints the device is getting from users. That’s why Amazon is quick to response to issues that need immediate attention in order not to disappoint existing customers.

The recent one is the upgrade of the “Silk Browser” to version 6.2.1 to discuss the complaint of slow and the occasional not responding browsing experience. According to Amazon, the new version, “enhances fluidity and performance, improves touch navigation responsiveness, gives you the option to choose which items display on the carousel, and adds the ability to add a password lock on Wi-Fi access.”

This is good news for the existing users since they can automatically get the latest version 6.2.1 once an update perform on the device through WiFi as confirmed by Amazon site, and it is free to download.

Although concerns of parental control and easy access to owner’s account without having a password on Kindle fire are still the main concerns from parents/customers that need to be resolved according to some reports.

Kindle fire seems unstoppable from maintaining the fire. In fact recent report says that Kindle fire is shifting the trend from hard copy books publishing to e-books.

As of this post, I have tried to search through my Galaxy tab and it is not working as mentioned above. I think the interface will one be available to iPad and Android 3.1+ tablets across 36 languages. So I hope that soon I could try this out.

Huawei launched their tablet that will compete the Samsung Galaxy Tab, but with an Android Honeycomb 3.2 OS , Definitely this unit will defeat the Galaxy Tab because of it’s specification.

It is great the the unit have a Dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor, but of course great power consume more battery. Wifi only version will surely come out soon. I have not seen the release date and cost of this unit. But definitely it will just compete with the price range of Samsung Galaxy Tab.

But will this unit compete with other leading brand in the market like Motorola Xoom, Acer Iconia and Blackberry Playbook.

The Chinese company says that the memory can be upgraded further via a micro-SD card slot.

The Huawei MediaPad also features  Bluetooth, 802.11n WiFi and GPS support. MediaPad is said to measure 10.5mm thick and weighs 390g.

The tablet was unveiled at the CommunicAsia 2011 convention in Singapore.

Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid Specification : It is a 3.8-pound IdeaPad U1 Hybrid is a 11.6-inch laptop with a retractable multitouch screen.Then the screen is locked into its upright position in the laptop’s chassis, it’s powered by a CULV Intel Core 2 Duo processor and runs Windows 7 Home Premium.

Since this is a dual purpose gadget, the screen could be pulled out and when the screen is pulled from its shell it becomes a Qualcomm Snapdragon powered-multitouch slate with a 16GB SSD that boots Lenovo’s customized Skylight Linux interface.

According to engadget we have to wait until June to buy the $999 device.

The above shown device is called Movit Mini WiFi tablet from GiiNii, which just happens to run Android. I always dream of having a Wifi Tablet but due to the price I would better by another laptop.

The device features a 4.3″ screen, running at 480 x 272 resolution, Bluetooth, a front side camera, and a soft keyboard.  Also on board, a built in speaker, 256MB, and a MicroSD cart slot.  As far as software goes, it comes with Skype support ready to go.

This unit will be available in the Middle of the year. But I don’t know when it will be available in Philippines. This unit tends to grab some percentage of Ipod Touch.
