It is now a buzz in the media about twitter, Twitter has become an efficient tool in disseminating information regarding the China Earthquake.

Rory Cellan-Jones from BBC – I was beginning to think Twitter – the micro-blogging service that’s all the rage amongst the technorati – was just another fad for people who want to share too much of their rather dull lives. Until this morning.

Online Journalism Blog.com – The first interesting point is Tweetburner: its most-clicked links shared on Twitter are almost entirely about the earthquake, and show some interesting uses:

Twitter Beats (Wow, By 3 Minutes) The USGS With China Earthquake News – Hey, I like Twitter, but this entire thing Robert Scoble started about how Twitter had news of the Chinese earthquake before the US Geological Survey seemed absurd. Did it really? As it turns out, probably so — by about three minutes. Reading some of the accounts, you’d get the impression Twitter seemed to alert the USGS to the news.

Chinaherald.net – For me, Twitter had developed in a few hours time into an excellent information tool, combining different sources of information and I knew more about the earthquake than many people in China.

Indeed above information only shows that lots are having benefits from new Twitter Tools. So Twitter is not just like expressing your ideas it can also a channel of lot’s of information. I wonder if Media researchers used this tools also?. You may want to check my Twitter Experience.

I just saw a post from Blog Herald that half of the Americans is now engaging to online community and this leads me to a question How much Filipinos is now engaging to Online Community.?

The online survey was commissioned by Deloitte and conducted by Harrison Group, an independent research company, between October 25 and October 31, 2007. The survey polled 2,081 consumers between the ages of 13 and 75.

I know the fact that lots of Filipinos become interested in blogging after an interview with Filipino Probloggers in Philippines. But how far are we in terms of Blogging and being online? Thinking that there are lots of tools that has been invested already in Philippines.

When do you think we can attain those 50% Filipinos is now Blogging ? I think it is not an impossible scenario to happen. If and only if Filipinos will only focus in Online Marketing and not waste their time in surfing $candal.

I have heard at the news yesterday that 50% of Filipinos time is being used in surfing the net . I am not so sure with the figure but I have heard it is high.

I do believed that in future, Online Marketing will be one of the major source of dollars or EURO in Philippines someday.

Who will be the beneficiary ? Of course those who are doing it now.

It will be great if you could share some of your thoughts regarding this matter. Free to comment or even post an answers to this question

Yuga had made a question into his blog ” Is your blog .mobi ready? ” and gave some suggestion and Pluggins for WordPress and Typepad but was not able to provide for Blogger Platform.

My suggestion is to use the service of winksite.com where in your feeds will be converted into a mobile ready blog. It is a site which will convert a blog to a mobile blog.

You are allowed to make a 5 free site. I have made an address for this blogsite that could be accessed on your mobile phone ( http://winksite.com/dcpanganiban/Techathand ) the only difference is that this site address will not be the same as your original blog domain address. And the advantage will be less KB to download since it will only show the text portion of the blog.

Below is the details found in their site:

Winksite makes it easy to publish mobile Internet sites and build simple mobile connections via mobile phones. At Winksite you can:

» Create a mobile web site & profile.

» Mobilize your Blog, Twitter, Jaiku, & Upcoming feeds.

» Activate mobile-tuned features like chat, forums, & surveys.

» Join mobile communities, connect with friends, or meet new people.

You may create a free winksite account here. What about you, Do you have any suggestion?
