I try Googling this kind of problem but I was not that successful regarding this problem so I am writing about this to know some of your thoughts regarding this matter.

By the way I have send letter to Google today after removing all paid links in this site. Yup I will not do any Paid post links in this site from now on. And If there will be some Advertiser in the future that would like to Advertise on this site a no-follow link will be added. I hope this is clear. I want to retain the site traffic.

I am posting about this as a reference in the future, if in case Google will reconsider sending me visitors again.

Well on the other hand I was also amazed wit yahoo since visitors that it send me now double. For what ever reason well I don’t know.

Among the shown stats only the visitors coming from Google is really affecting the site’s traffic. I intentionally not put the numbers , I just want to show you the graph about this site.

Well nobody knows when will Google put back my traffic, all I know is I just complied with all their requirements. It is now up to them to do their part. My sitemap now has been crawled again and the stats shos that it was crawled 15 hrs ago. That only means it was crawled automatically after I send a reinclusion request.. Is it ? Wait for further development .. A nice start

2. I have installed a great plug-in that shows my archives with the number of comment it has. The plug-in was provided by Dagon Design Sitemap Generator well actually I saw the plug in at Allen archive. Thanks. This is sure SEO friendly since the Archives uses the permalink and post title. It simply great.
3. I fully join Twitter just yesterday and I am beginning to love how it works. Well until now I am still doing some testing . What is Robots.txt Google Says

How do I use a robots.txt file to control access to my site?

A robots.txt file provides restrictions to search engine robots (known as “bots”) that crawl the web. These bots are automated, and before they access pages of a site, they check to see if a robots.txt file exists that prevents them from accessing certain pages.

You need a robots.txt file only if your site includes content that you don’t want search engines to index. If you want search engines to index everything in your site, you don’t need a robots.txt file (not even an empty one).

So this is it, robots.txt is used to restrict bot’s in indexing once site. If you are a regular reader here, You know that I am having some problem with those Unusual string showing at my Google Search Engine Results and this is the reason why I studied this matter, and later I found out that this is a must to do for SEO purpose.

How is my robots.txt made, I just change this yesterday and just 4 hrs ago it was crawled by Google smoothly.

User-agent: * means that all search engine

Above shown robots.txt informs bot not to index all WordPress files and documents, Pages, Feed, ?wpcf7, track backs ( URL only ), category, 2007 & 2008 archives and allows indexing of my uploads.

In SEO good for a certain page to be unique upon visitation of the search engine bot. Duplicates came from scrapers, Copier, and even from your own domain.

You may ask why did I restrict feed, page, Trackbacks, category, 2007 & 2008, This is because they are all archives and seen by bot as duplicate pages.

Ultimate Tip

Go to your favorite blog check their Robots.txt and you will see how experts in the field is doing or commanding the bot. No wonder they are always on top.

But How…. Use this syntax [ Domain name/robots.txt ] ex.. http://www.abc.com/robots.txt

I saw lots of variation yesterday. and You will see lots of it also.

Combine their strategy and make your own that is applicable for your blog. You cannot access it if they are using .htaccess

The Reality

If you want that your site be a Search Engine Friendly you have to direct them on what part of your blog needs to be visited. By doing this you’re not making any duplicate content in the web that makes your post in the supplemental index of Google. Yesterday I told you that I moved post from my Blogspot blog into here. So here is my tip on how to move it in a SEO Friendly way. Step by Step to answer the question I posted yesterday

How I did I manage to do the moving ( or copying ) in an SEO friendly way ? Thinking that It will create a double content in the net. That is why you need to come back again since it will be posted the next day ?

So Let us start analyzing and study what we need to do.

Do you have a problem in importing Blogspot Post and comments to your Self Hosted Blog ?

If your answer is yes we have the same thing before. I have some problem in importing my files from Blogspot directly in here. So what I did is to open a WordPress.com account. Please be noted as follows :

1. Be sure to put the setting of your newly acquired WordPress to a No Index site, so that the Search Engine will not crawl your site and see that there are duplicate content in the net.
2. WordPress.com account can easily extract your blogspot post and comments into their system.
3. Please be sure to removed any links that you make in blogspot feed footer before doing this. Since WordPress.com will use the feeds in doing the importation. ( I fail to this that is why I have to remove every single post the feed links )
4. Please be informed that the comment links in your commenter’s name will not be included in the import.

Ad there you are ready for some action.

Did you succeed in importing your files in WordPress ?

1. If you succeed, You have to import the XML files of your newly acquired WordPress.com account to your local drive.
   • Manage >>> Import >>> Blogger
2. Check Compatibility of your imported categories vs the existing categories of your self hosted Blog. Change it to the same categories you have on your present Self Hosted WordPress Blog. An Example if you are using ” Make Money ” as your label before in Blogspot and you are now using ” Problogging ” Category so just change it to “Problogging”
   • Manage >>> Categories
3. Go to your Blogspot.com blog and restrict the Search Engine in indexing your site.
   • Settings >>> Basic >>> Let search engines find your blog? >>> ” NO “
4. If you are Enrolled in Google Webmaster tools go ahead to Item no. 7 if not in item No. 5.
5. Enroll in Google Webmaster tools
6. After enrollment verify your Blogspot site for Google Webmaster tools
7. If your old blogspot.com is enrolled to Google Webmaster Central Tools you have to ask Google to remove your site in any search result. This is to prevent Google in thinking that there are duplicate content. Remember Duplicate content is not good for Search Engine. And of course your aim is to be in Google # 1 Searches ( SERP )
   • Dashboard >>> Tools >>> Remove URLs >>>( Press Entire Site )
   • Please be informed that it will totally wipe out your Blogspot blog in any search engine result. So if you think that It will affect your earning or site. Better stop from here and do not proceed. Delete you WordPress.com account where you import your files or else you have to work out your SEO again for your Blogspot blog.
8. At this moment your Blogspot Site will not be searchable via Search Engine.
9. Make an Author from your Self Hosted WordPress Blog that will show the author name of all your old post that you need to import
10. Uploads your XML files that has been download via Step 1 and choose the Author that you have made via step 9
11. Congratulation you have now uploaded your Old post.
12. Then manually update you Sitemap so that it will read your newly uploaded post and Comments. Be sure that your New or Existing WordPress Blog has a Sitemap installed.

Hope this help you if you are planning to move from Blogspot to WordPress and you are afraid to do it,Thinking that you will remove your Blog Post juice. As of yesterday my site has been visited by our friendly Google spiders see pictures below.

And don’t forget to make internal links to your old post so that Google can easily indexed all of your old post. I just don’t know when they can indexed it all. That is why I am building an internal link within my blog. One way of telling the search Engine that I have more articles in my Archives.
