Blogging Accomplishment in Year 2008

Last January 1,2008 , I have set my blogging goals for the whole year. { My Blogging Goal for Year 2008, What is Yours ? } And now I would like to check and gauge myself on how I become a blogger for year 2008. Did I become an active blogger or a lazy blogger ? Hmm.. So this is my report for you guys. I have responded each and every point in my goals.

I will make more blogging friends that will share same interest with me.

I also made lots of blogging friends this year. Perhaps this is because I am fortunate to attend an offline blogging event last year { Iblog 4 } and Trinoma Food Tour during my Vacation

I will teach my wife how to blog

Yeah I accomplish this one.. Actually my wife is now blogging at Myjournal.ph

I will try to post at least 2 post a day ( Morning and Afternoon )

I fail to do this one.. Perhaps it’s a busy year .. Remember I am just blogging part time.

I will try to enjoy blogging more.

For sure I enjoyed blogging more .. Accomplished

A new niche blog this year

Yup I accomplished this one by having my new personal blog { Dexter Panganiban } and my New { Pambata.com } which targets students , and most of my post is written in Tagalog. It is also this year that I made a folder in this site targeting the PRC Board Exam Results

More Projects

I have already mention some of my projects in item # 5.

I will be a source of information both in Blogging and Technology

I believe it is done, If there any disagreement let me know . You can also check my recognitions received this year to support my claim

I will try to help new bloggers succeed

I also believe this is done and will continue until there are bloggers in need

I will optimized this site more

Partly it is done, I have now some keywords which ranks well and there where also some keywords which is now not being seen in the SERP. I may say that Big G is becoming to choosy for my chose keywords. And I think it is now great to be included in the first page of www.topblogs.com.ph.

I will research more and share informations with my reader.

I think I am also successful with this one.. Did You know that it increases my subscribed blogs

What about you, Did you accomplish your goal this year 2009 ? You might be a blogger or not. But I still believe that you have set a goal last year. I hope you made it I will just post my New Blogging Goals for the year 2009 Later.

I Won the Blog-Professional Category in Digital Filipino Web Awards

Well actually Janette told me thru e-mail that I won the Blog-Professional Category and since I am in Saudi Arabia I have deputized Fitz from Ready To Be Rich to get my award, so the one in the picture is Fitz { Thanks Fitz for representing Tech At Hand } . So to all members of Digital Filipino judges, thanks to all of you for trusting Tech At Hand’s capability for the mentioned award.

The LG KP500 is now the LG "Cookie"

I have not made any post regarding LG Mobile but I think this one catch my attention since it is a Touch Screen Mobile. LG is now also competing with the Touch Screen type Mobile. and one of their latest Mobile is called The LG KP500 is getting described everywhere as "affordable". A few more details have been issued about the handset, the most interesting of which is that it’s now called "Cookie", It Cost 170 Euros, so around £130.

Specification as follows :

3 megapixel camera
FM radio
an accelerometer
video recording capabilities at 12fps with a resolution of 320×240. However, it won’t play back anything more than 240×400 and 24fps.
No 3G or GPS
3″ touchscreen display
Bluetooth

The interface is still thumb-optimized, but a stylus tucked in the body also assists handwriting recognition.

Video playback is not stunning either – the LG Cookie won’t support DivX or XviD – instead you’d have to do with only MPEG4 video at 24fps (up to 240 x 400 pixel resolution).

I still don’t know when it will be available in Philippines or Saudi Arabia. All I know is it is coming soon.

How Far Will Your Blog Graphic Design Could Bring You ?

If you happen to visit different known sites both local and International, Can you recognize what do they have in common? What else but their Blog Design. Their blog theme is unique as well as their Blog Logo is unique. Their logo becomes their brand in the Internet. It is either they spend some money in redesigning their blog or somebody had generously sponsored in doing their blog design. Well this blog was blessed enough to have a blog make Over by Weborithm as part of my prize on Shoe VS John Chow contest. I can say that my blog has a unique design , logo and theme.

Now what is the importance of having a unique theme or Unique Graphic Design?

Easy Recognition

Whenever somebody visit your site from a search engine, usually it will have a 100% bounce rate, that means after seeing what they want at your site, they tend to check for some other exit links from your blog. You will be lucky if your visitors will roam around your site. What I am saying is if your site is constantly appearing in searching for some related keyword for your site, you are already building your readers trust in your Website and having a readers trust is having a regular visitors for your site. Just imagine if you have about 20 Website with the same layout. Readers will be confused on which blog he is visiting.

First impression Last

I still believe in saying that first impression last. So if your first time visitors will not be impressed at your site, for sure there will be no e-mail subscription or RSS subscription. They will not tend to come back even there are lots of good contents in your blog.

Your Graphic or Your Blog Design is your identity in the web.

So would you like to have a Multiple identity or just a single identity in web. Of course you want to be unique as much as possible if the budget permits it.

Now What Type of Design is best in my Opinion ?

I am a happy person and I believe your theme color should be using a light color I hate dark themes that is why when I got the chance for a make over I choose light blue. Dark colors seems to convey loneliness. [ This is just my opinion ] . A good site navigation is also an important factor for your design layout. You have to have an idea of helping your visitor to easily navigate your site.

How Far Will Your Blog Graphic Design Could Bring You ?

Well a good graphic design plus a good content will definitely bring good traffic and better branding in the net. See how far Darren and Jeremy for International Blogs and Abe in Philippine blog now. Would you think without their graphic design brands, will they be known as unique? I don’t think so.

A believe that a unique graphic design gives prestige for a Website so if you have some earnings to spare why don’t you spend some for your blog design. Or continue joining contest until you win Best of luck

Philippine Web Awards Winners

I was not able to blog about the result of the Philippine Web Awards that I blog before. I would like to congratulate the following site which got the recognition of a prestigious body like this. If there is Famas in Movie industry there is Philippine Web Awards in the net. Winner could be found at the Winners Site.

Maybe next year I will be one of the candidates who knows? Do I deserve it? Well let see next year .

The winner of Best Website and the Peoples Choice awards under the Arts & Portfolio category has been disqualified.

Media G8way Corp. (MGC) has announced that the winner for the Best Website and the Peoples Choice awards under the Arts & Portfolio category of the recently held 10th Philippine Web Awards has been disqualified after it was found that the winning entry, http://www.einsteinarts.com , was an imitation of an existing template design being offered for sale.

Anyway Congratulation to the winners.

Online Face Sketch

Have you ever wonder that you could be also a sketch artist like what you are seeing in the movie where somebody is drawing the features of a man based on the facial description of a person he would like to identify. The site is called Flashface. You can sketch the hair, head, eyebrows, glasses, eyes, nose, moustache, mouth, jaw and beard. I think this site is cool.

My New Blessings ( Canon EOS 400D )

At last I got what I prayed for, A brand New Canon EOS 400D Canon SLR Camera. It took some time before I was able to buy one. But thanks God at last I get it. First of all It does not come from blogging. But I am hoping that I can offset this amount through revenue of my Lyrics Blog and Election Blog. ( But it will take time ). I bought it yesterday.

I will be on vacation this April, and my Children is going to get their recognition by end of this month, So I have to study how to use this one, So I could get good picture of my family as well as my vacation. Just pray for it and it will be yours.
