Dell is claiming that they have introduced the first ever “ultra mobile gaming laptop” or I can say gaming netbook. Dell Alienware M11X Is Their First Ultraportable Gaming Netbook, and we all know that when we talk about alienware it must be good for gaming. so here is the specification of Dell Alienware M11X :

6 1/2 hours of battery life (battery mode)

2 hours of “intense gaming”

that gaming mode will come courtesy of a faster NVIDIA GPU, which you can switch to in seconds and which does not require a restart or logging out

Video out via DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA

3D mark scores in 6-7k range

50FPS Crysis, 30FPS Call of Duty on High Settings

Under $1000 (later this year)

It’s specification might be far from previous alienware that we have featured here before. when Dell unveil the new alienware gaming laptop. but the size matter.

The Alienware M11x, the most powerful 11-inch gaming laptop in the universe — as easy to carry as it is powerful, making high-performance gaming accessible to all. source

On the graphics front, it boasts of an integrated graphics chip when you’re not gaming and switches to an Nvidia GT335M card when you switch to gaming mode. The M11x is expected to ship later this year. The M11x is known to have attain 50fps in Crysis and has scores between 6000 to 7000 in 3D Mark, according to Gizmodo.

But in my opinion a gamer loves to play with big screen, and if a gamer will invest in something that he wants to use , he will definitely go for a bigger screen and not as small as 11″, I believe that Netbook should be used by moving people or those people always on the go, and not by gamers. But of course that is my opinion. So what do you think, Will this hit the gamers ?

Nice to be back online. I am shifting house and we just finished our 6 days vacation, that is why Internet connection is very limited. My house internet connection will resume on Monday as per the local telephone company here in Riyadh. But anyway I just receive an email from Yehey about Qube M1 Notebook, It is great to know that there is a new Philippine computer seller Qube is preparing to launch a new netbook called Qube M1 Notebook , which will be released on December 20.

With it’s size I believed it is good to have this one as a traveling Notebook. If you are planning to use this computer for work, I don’t thinks it is a best buy. It is, I believe suitable for Chatting or blogging perhaps but not for Multi Tasking computer work.

This is not an affiliate things because I am not earning from this. But I would love to receive a demo unit of this one

And it only proves that the leaked photos of Macbook is true. The rumored Macbook Touch Screen was not included in the release. Anyway it might be released soon. Who knows ?

Apple’s also put in some effort on slimming down the computer, bringing it down to a mere 0.95-inches thick (though at 5.5 pounds it’s a hair heavier than the original)

The specs as per Engadget

the specs. Apple’s using NVIDIA’s new 9400M GPU + chipset 1-2 punch for integrated graphics, supplemented by 9600M GT switchable discreet graphics chip for heavy lifting, and pumping out those graphics over a Mini DisplayPort connector, if you’d like to supplement the LED backlit screen. As expected there’s an SSD option, with drive accessible underneath the battery. The 15.4-inch base model retails for $1999, with a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM and both GPUs. Step up to $2499 and you get a faster CPU, 4GB of RAM and a 320GB HDD. The 17-inch MacBook Pro comes in a similar configuration with a 2.6GHz processor, starting at $2799, but sans the redesign and GPU love. Hit the jump for a breakdown of the configurations.

Below are some specification taken during the conference

To all AMD users and those who have experience AMD I know that you are waiting for AMD Brander Netbook. Well Your wait is over since Cyberpress, an AMD representative confirms that they will come out with a netbook-specific CPU in the comings months.

According to pinoytechguy.com the likely candidate is this 1.0GHz CPU codenamed “BGA”:

So I just hope that it can compete with Intel Atom’s price so that netbook will be affordable.

It is none other than the VAIO® TT Series notebook. The VAIO TT Series notebook brags their 2.87 pounds and is less than 1-inch thin. This is my first time to post laptop with Blu Ray Technology.

Here are the specification :

These units can record, store and play back personal content on high-capacity BD media.

11.1-inch widescreen display (measured diagonally) with Sony’s XBRITE-DuraView™ LCD technology, delivering 100 percent color saturation for a wide range of vibrant colors and true-to-life picture quality.

The display is ideal for Blu-ray Disc movies. Since many HD films are shot using a 16:9 aspect ratio, the unit’s extra-wide LCD is constructed with the same dimensions. This minimizes the black bars that typically appear, letting you view movies in their intended format.

TT model also has an HDMI™ output connector so you can connect it to a compatible high-definition TV for a larger viewing experience (connector cable sold separately).

Intel® Centrino® 2 processor technology for powerful PC output and energy-conserving features that deliver long battery life.

Select VAIO TT notebooks feature a dual channel 256GB (128GB X 2) solid state drive (SSD) with RAID technology. The result is quicker boot-up times, faster application launches and overall enhanced performance.

The notebook comes with the choice of Windows Vista® Home Premium, Vista Business and Vista Ultimate operating systems. Windows® XP Professional is also available on select models.

All models are ENERGY STAR® 4.0 compliant, hold an EPEAT Silver ranking and incorporates such eco-conscious features as a mercury-free LED backlit LCD.

The TT model starts at $2,000. The BD version will go for about $2,700, while the SSD model (128GB) for around $2,750.

It is available in a premium carbon black, silk black, champagne gold and crimson red.

My Wife’s VAIO is great and I know this will also be a great Laptop. But the price seems to be high for everyone’s budget. I think at this moment buying a Blu-ray Disc Notebook is still not necessary since not all place have Blue Ray Disc, But time will come that it will be a necessity to have a Blu-Ray enabled disc reader, same like CD and DVD before. But for now I will go for DVD for price reason. Well it is still up to the buyer.
