Finally ASUS gets official with Eee PC 1008P Seashell: available in hot pink and coffee brown : Here are some pictures as captured by Engadget at CES2010.

Asus Eee PC 1008P is Designed by Karim Rashid, and is powered by Intel’s new Atom N450 processor and features a 10.1-inch display, Windows 7 Home Premium, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11n WiFi, gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, 1.3 megapixel camera, a 3-cell removable battery and a 2.5 pound chassis.

Asus has been the trend setter for the netbook line and I know this will be another great netbook from them. It is I believe an upgrade from Eee PC 1008HA that we have featured here before. It is rumored to have priced of $499 .

But with it’s size of 10.1 I cannot say that it is smaller than netbook since I own 8.1

So is this the gap that will fill in between smart phone and netbook ? ASUS made it in netbook will, lenovo make it in smartbook ?

Nokia Booklet 3g will be launch on Sept 2 during Nokia World where we expect lots of new Nokia Phones will be featured. So here is the specs that I know as of this time :

it has 10.1-inch HD screen, built-in SD card reader, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G/HSPA ready for rapid mobile broadband anywhere-access, HDMI port for HD video out, and battery promises to last up to 12 hours. You can see the video below. It has a GPS with OVI maps and do support SIM card functionality with Intel Atom processor that will run under Microsoft Windows OS.

Viewsonic have also engaged in the netbook industry and they named their entry as Viewsonic VNB101 and VBN100. And here are some specification as mention  :

Viewsonic VNB101 Netbook are based on Intel’s Atom processor and features typical netbook specification. The VNB100 include Atom N270, 10″ widescreen display, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, Wireless, 3x usb 2.0 ports, 1.3MP webcam, and Windows XP

Viewsonic VNB101 Netbook is based upon Atom N280 with 0.3MP webcam, 2x usb ports, and Bluetooth.

So here comes another netbook from Asus they call it ASUS Eee PC 1005HA Seashell , This new Asus Netbook is now ready for pre order and here isthe specifictaion

Intel 1.66GHz N280  Atom processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It also offers what ASUS are naming the longest-lasting battery life for one of their netbooks to-date with up to 10.5hrs. 160GB hard-drive, WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, along with a 1.3-megapixel webcam, digital array microphone and 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 LED-backlit display. Ports include a mini-VGA connector, two USB 2.0, ethernet, audio in/out and a memory card reader. The ASUS Eee PC 1005HA Seashell retails for $389.99, available to preorder in black or blue.

Asus has been a leader in the netbook business and they are still prooving it by releasing new types of Eee PC Netbook. I can say that EeePC is reliable since I am using Eee PC 904HA , which I had made a full review of the unit.

The Toshiba Mini NB205, is now available in the market starting today it is available in Brown, Black, Blue or White. The Black Model is cheaper with cost of  $349.99. The chassis is a different material and the keyboard keys are flattish like on the HP / Dell Mini netbooks.

The other colors are the high end models, costing $399.99 with a chiclet keyboard and high quality chassis material with a line pattern imprint on the lid.

My asus netbook still works fine and serves it’s purpose. And I am now saving to get a quadcore computer with 32″ LCD TV. I just don’t know when could I Purchase it.

It will have a 16GB SSD or 160GB HD based on parental preference it will come preloaded with Windows XP. But they’ll have another IO layer over XP so the kids can’t break too much.

It only means that this machine can perform all softwares that kids may deemed it necessary for their usage. It can also be connected thru Wi-Fi and most of all it has Mickey Mouse’s “Magic Blue” or Ariel’s flowery “Princess Pink” for only $350 at Amazon or Toys R Us, Princess Pink will be a popular choice for girl hackers.

Have you heard about the new innovation in Netbook Technology, I am talking about Solar Powered Netbook by iUnika. It has been designed to be light and compact and usable without any power source bar the sun. Here is the specs : 400MHz processor, 128MB of RAM and a 64GB SSD,The software running on the netbook is a proprietary version of Linux and the screen on the iUnika measures 8 inch with a resolution of just 800 x 400 pixels.

It is named the GYY and will be available over to Europe in June at a cost of just $200.

When you open it to a normal angle, it can be used as a laptop. Its full-function keyboard gives you enough space to type, so your hands won’t be crowded or compromised. Or you can open it 360 degrees, folding the top cover back to the base, and it becomes the tablet notebook.

The Lenovo Pocket Yoga Netbook looks very handy and looks like a classy wallet for women out there. Not yet known when will this be available in the market and  how much this would cost.

The Samsung NC20 netbook will be launching soon and is a step up from the NC10. The differences between the 2 are the processor and screen size.

So If you are looking for a better screen size compared to Samsung NC10 this one is for you.The NC20 will run with the Via Nano processor clocked at 1.3GHz. This processor speed is lower then an Intel Atom however, but this Samsung netbook will have a Chrome DX9 GPU . The netbook will be supplied running Windows XP (usually home edition for netbooks).
