Red Mobile the Newest Prepaid Network in Philippines

I might be late telling you about the latest prepaid Network in the country today. Well I am talking about red mobile , This is a company that will try to impress the Philippine phone users with their 3G service.

The only glitch is that they require a 3G Mobile Phone. Well I don’t know why.. Although there are some blogger’s who already covered this information I there might be somebody out there who have not yet heard about the news. So Here it is

I just hope that their service will be better that other network. Although I cannot test it, I know time will come that if they will become successful they will also have their international roaming service. For now let those blogger living in Philippines test the system.

Well according to other Tech Blogger in Philippines Red Mobile is the old Umobile in Philippines which is also related to Smart.

They are telling the public that they have the Lowest Per minute rate as shown in the table below. So let us see how well they can serve the Filipino.

FriendFeed has a New iPhone interface

FriendFeed is really expanding their reach, And they think that one way to reach other user who have iPhone is thru having a new iPhone interface, The iPhone Interface will be automatically activated when somebody who have iPhone visit their site.

We just launched a specialized iPhone interface for FriendFeed. When you visit friendfeed.com in your iPhone browser, you will get the new interface automatically:

The FriendFeed iPhone interface looks a lot like the standard FriendFeed interface, but the font sizes, graphics, and forms have been tweaked to make it easier to use on the iPhone.

And to those without iPhone and want to visit their site thru their PDA you can always use http://friendfeed.com/i, I cannot test this site but I think this is very useful to those techie guys who own iPhone. Based on their picture the site is cool and techie. If only it is affordable in Saudi Arabia I would buy one. But the price is multiplied to almost 3 times. Not a best option to buy when You are in Saudi Arabia.

Converting Internet Blogs into a Mobile Blog Site

Yuga had made a question into his blog ” Is your blog .mobi ready? ” and gave some suggestion and Pluggins for WordPress and Typepad but was not able to provide for Blogger Platform.

My suggestion is to use the service of winksite.com where in your feeds will be converted into a mobile ready blog. It is a site which will convert a blog to a mobile blog.

You are allowed to make a 5 free site. I have made an address for this blogsite that could be accessed on your mobile phone ( http://winksite.com/dcpanganiban/Techathand ) the only difference is that this site address will not be the same as your original blog domain address. And the advantage will be less KB to download since it will only show the text portion of the blog.

Chatting via Cellphone

I want to share you some application which I am using to free chatting with Yahoo and MSN via my Nokia3230 mobile. Just try to access http://wap.mig33.com, and download the Mobile Application.

Here are the simple step to access and Install mig33 on your mobile:

Step 1 : Make sure your mobile phone is capable of web browsing
Step 2 : Enroll your mobile phone to your service provider to Mobile Internet ( if you are in Saudi and using Al Jawal – Type “NET” in message and send to 2222 )
Step 3 : Surf and go to http://wap.mig33.com using your Mobile Internet
Step 4 : Then Download the mig33 installer
Step 5 : accept the installation even it is unverified
Step 6 : After installation go to the Program list on your menu and try to look for mig33 application
Step 7 : Then it will ask you to register if you have pre registered on their site http://www.mig33.com from your computer you can use this log in details in your mobile if not you have to register.
Step 8 : When ever you are already log in just press menu and change the setting of IM ( Instant Messaging ). Put your login details for yahoo and then presto you can now chat using your mobile. In Saudi Arabia the charge is based on Kilo bites (KB) Sent.

I hope you can get it. My wife and I is enjoying free chatting with our relatives and friends because it’s convenient to use our Cellphone than to open the computer. That is only my opinion.
