It is none other than the VAIO® TT Series notebook. The VAIO TT Series notebook brags their 2.87 pounds and is less than 1-inch thin. This is my first time to post laptop with Blu Ray Technology.

Here are the specification :

These units can record, store and play back personal content on high-capacity BD media.

11.1-inch widescreen display (measured diagonally) with Sony’s XBRITE-DuraView™ LCD technology, delivering 100 percent color saturation for a wide range of vibrant colors and true-to-life picture quality.

The display is ideal for Blu-ray Disc movies. Since many HD films are shot using a 16:9 aspect ratio, the unit’s extra-wide LCD is constructed with the same dimensions. This minimizes the black bars that typically appear, letting you view movies in their intended format.

TT model also has an HDMI™ output connector so you can connect it to a compatible high-definition TV for a larger viewing experience (connector cable sold separately).

Intel® Centrino® 2 processor technology for powerful PC output and energy-conserving features that deliver long battery life.

Select VAIO TT notebooks feature a dual channel 256GB (128GB X 2) solid state drive (SSD) with RAID technology. The result is quicker boot-up times, faster application launches and overall enhanced performance.

The notebook comes with the choice of Windows Vista® Home Premium, Vista Business and Vista Ultimate operating systems. Windows® XP Professional is also available on select models.

All models are ENERGY STAR® 4.0 compliant, hold an EPEAT Silver ranking and incorporates such eco-conscious features as a mercury-free LED backlit LCD.

The TT model starts at $2,000. The BD version will go for about $2,700, while the SSD model (128GB) for around $2,750.

It is available in a premium carbon black, silk black, champagne gold and crimson red.

My Wife’s VAIO is great and I know this will also be a great Laptop. But the price seems to be high for everyone’s budget. I think at this moment buying a Blu-ray Disc Notebook is still not necessary since not all place have Blue Ray Disc, But time will come that it will be a necessity to have a Blu-Ray enabled disc reader, same like CD and DVD before. But for now I will go for DVD for price reason. Well it is still up to the buyer.

ASUS have designed the computers to suit different user such as Business Executives which has ASUS B50 , and other notebooks series such as F6 Notebook Series and ASUS F8 Notebook with lots of color to choose from. They also want to make gamers happy thru their Gaming Laptop – G71 and G50 ROG Notebooks

We don’t have yet the price details for the following Lap Tops. Now I am puzzled maybe they intentionally make the ASUS Eee PC Leaked so that competitors will be focused on those units and not this one. Well It might be a Marketing Strategy.

There has bee rumors that Nokia is building a Mobile Phone that will really compete with iPhone. And it is called Nokia Tube. Nokia Tube ( 5800 XpressMusic ) is believed to have a Touch Pad Interface.

Below are leaked Photos of Nokia Tube.

Some of the unofficial specifications of the device are given below:

Measurements: 111 × 52 × 14.5 mm, and weighs only 104 grams.

16 million color TFT LCD, 640 × 360 pixel resolution, 16:9 display mode

Haptic feedback

3.2 megapixel camera, Carl Zeiss optics with autofocus

Dual LED flash

Built-in GPS

140 MB RAM

GSM / GPRS / EDGE / WCDMA / HSDPA / WLAN / Bluetooth

3.5 mm audio jack, TV-out

BL-5J 1150 mAh battery

Suggestion : It would be great if they can find away to have protection to the Screen like one of IPAQ did. The Touch Screen is the most Critical Part of a Touch Pad Mobile Phone.

So now the question will be, When will Nokia Tube ( 5800 XpressMusic ) out of the Market

They have also further made it clear that this new technology uses as follows :

IPS uses the parallel molecular arrangement structure, not only speeds up the reaction rate, presents the real fresh color, the lifelike clear dynamic picture can provide the consumer ” the not remnant shade” the vision enjoys.

In addition, as a result of IPS kneading board splendid angle of view performance, regardless of or the side watches from the frontage, the wide angle of view characteristic not only can let the picture color not distorted, has the superiority in the material cost and the power consumption aspect.

Moreover compares with the soft type kneading board, the hard kneading board guards against the attrition, guards against blows the wound, the picture stably is more durable. Specially suitably has child’s family use.
