Upon pressing the number of pages saying Link from the below pictures shows you the different site connected to that wrong URL.

And the below picture gives you an option to Download That table, Download All error for this site, Download all sources of error in this site.

All errors will only be seen if somebody tries to access that link. SO to be able to have a healthy site for your visitor you should always check your Google Webmaster Dashboard and look for any error that you might have.

One of the most important factor for SEO is the way you make your internal and external linking. When I say leaking as show in the title, I am referring to those links and tracking links that you are installing in your home page and inner page. Our aim is to be organize not like the cartoons at the top. BTW the cartoon is the property of Word Sell and I am participating in in his group writing contest.

Well how will I relate this cartoon Image in my post today regarding Home Page Linking ?

Most of us tend to aim things but we are not really checking of what will be the result. Like what is shown above it was the intention of the gasoline station to give free car wash instead of free gas car wash. Let me discuss it on how to properly do internal linking from the home page in the proper way.

Inner Page Leaking

I believe that not all inner page linking is good for your page, but there is an exemption. If you are only writing a 1 niche site, where you only write with Lap top, Gadget and nothing else.. Or you are only writing about SEO and nothing else. The Internal Page Leaking is not that important since each post is correlated with one another. But what if you are using a multi category blog or semi niche blog such as this blog. You have to take care your internal linking.

This are the location where-in you need to check if your internal linking does not help your page.

1. Related Post – Are you sure that all related post inserting automatically in your post is really related to your post. If not it is better to do some fixings with your codes and make it a no follow links. If you don’t know how to do it, Politely ask the author of the plug in to provided you an option if you would like to make it a no-follow links.
2. Your Top 10 Post – Like on this blog not all my top 10 post both for the day and for the whole length of the blog is correlated with each other. And I thank Andrew dela Serna for providing me a no-follow version of his plug-ins.
3. Tags – Be sure that your Tag has also a no-follow tag.. since of course tags is not correlated with each other.
4. Category – All category does not have the same contents so better do some fixings.
5. HTML Tags that you insert for monitoring purpose would be better to have no follow on it. But you have to check with the provider of the matrix maybe they don’t allow it.
6. Page Links – I have converted all my page links at the upper right corner to be an Html Links rather than PHP so that I could provide a No follow links. Well actually i don’t know how to put No follow links at Php Code found in the WordPress Codex. Maybe somebody could help me with this one.

Observations After Implementation of Link Fixing

1. Increase of Cost Per Click from Adsense. Since I have a no-follow tags in all not related post and links. Adsense Crawler is having a better idea on what is the subject of my post and what kind of ads is he going to show up.
2. Easier to have a higher position in Search Engine Ranking Page. I said higher and not highest.
3. Increase readership ? Well this is still a question. But if you have a better visibility in the Search Pages an opportunity of having more constant visitors are high. Isn’t it ?

Conclusion

There is no harm in testing. Testing and experimentation gives us a new idea. Better lead the crawler on where he is going to penetrate. Remember they are automated and not like human who can think. They just follow commands. So Be a Plumber and Fix your Leaking Site.

There might be some disagreement. As always this is based on my experience. Any other input is welcome. I love when somebody has some other information to share.

1. What subject will you post today ?

   • It is important to know your subject before starting any strategy that you need to do. The reason is you need to focus on that subject.

2. Search for your archives

   • Upon knowing your subject and the keywords that you need to optimized from your blog. You have to search from your archives the best post that you have ever made for that particular keywords. If you have selected it get its URL and begin linking to that page.
   • If you are using WordPress it will be easier to go to Manage >> Post and then search for any keyword to all your post archive.

3. Link using the keyword that you want to optimize

   • Don’t just link it the way you want. You have to link it using the keywords that you need to optimized for that particular subject.
   • How just follow these syntax [ <a href="http://www.techathand.net/seo-friendly-way-of-moving-your-old-blogspot-blog-post/">SEO</a> ]
   • The above example shows search engine that the links is all about SEO , because I use SEO as the anchor text of the link. Avoid using here,there,etc.. This will not help your SEO goals .
   • You may use also your other blogs to give some more links to that particular post.

4. Expand your Subject to get another Post

   • You have to expand your subject into a digested post so that you can have a new post that can again be directed to your archived post that you need to be in # 1 of Google Search.
   • A subject can always be expanded. Sometime it can be expanded from those question that arise during comment discussion.

5. Remember those post that you link before

   • Don’t forget to remember those post that you link to before since this post should be the only one to be link whenever you make any post that relates to that subject. With this method you are increasing the juice of that post that pushes to the # 1 spot of Search Engine.

6. Do not make no follow on Internal Links

   • Don’t make no-follow links for your internal post. I only make no-follow for those site which I believe have tons of incoming links already. and that my link to them is not needed.

7. Put Title on all your Internal links

   • Don’t forget to make title for you links. It may not help your readers, but it will help those bot’s that is visiting your site.
   • How . Just follow these syntax [ <a title="SEO Effort" href="http://www.techathand.net/seo-friendly-way-of-moving-your-old-blogspot-blog-post/">SEO</a> ]
   • With the above example I have an anchor text of SEO and I have a title of SEO Effort

8. Do Not link to Category

   • Linking to your category tag of your blog is not healthy for your SEO concern since whenever the bot pass there and index it, It will show as a duplicate content with in your blog.

9. Do not link to Month Archives

   • Like item 9, linking to Monthly archives is not healthy for your blog. Instead link at any post that you believe worthy to be in Google Top Spot.

10. The post that you should optimize should have no Outgoing links

    • It is better to optimize an old post that has not external or internal links, Since upon having any links, it will just pass the juice that you want to build. But if you think those links need to be there, Try to put no-follow tag.

Below picture shows a proper way of internal Linking that helps the SEO concern. Since all link juice is being concentrated to the post at the center.

Below link strategy is not suggested since We don’t know what particular post needs to be optimized. One post is always leaking some juice.

Here are some points that I consider in my decision to move my post.

• If my site has many contents crawl by Google there is always a chance to increase my viewer via Google or Yahoo searches and we all know that Search Engine gives more income to blogs.
• I can increase my internal linking rather than linking externally with my blogspot post. Since there are also Blog post that I can say timeless.
• I can also increase my site keyword Density. Since What I am blogging before is same niche with this blog. In fact you could see the site name to be identical.
• It will also gives an impression to my new visitor that I am already blogging for almost a year now and I believe that gives prestige with the Blog.

How I did I manage to do the moving ( or copying ) in an SEO friendly way ? Thinking that It will create a double content in the net. That is why you need to come back again since it will be posted the next day. Or better yet subscribed to my feeds via Email so you will not be left behind.
