The above graph shows my AdSense earnings this year compared to last year. I may say that it triples my earnings this year in AdSense Alone. But if you will deduct the expenses for hosting at Dreamhost I may say that it is only a few dollar from my earnings. I was also able to do private Advertising thru forums and contacts in the industry. If I will sum it up ( including Peyd post , Which I already stop doing ) I can say that in this year I made 5 times on what I have last year.

It was a really great year for me and I am looking for another great year to come. I am now studying the ins and outs of Affiliate Marketing and I know I still have lots to learn. So If you want to know the details about it, just keep an eye in my Personal Blog because it is there where I will details the finding that I may find with Affiliate Marketing. Paypal ( Affiliate links ) helps a lot in doing Online Transaction because I am able to transfer payment from Paypal ( Affiliate links ) to my Citibank Credit Card.

I stop doing Peyd Post since I am having issues with my blog indexing and SEO Matters in this blog.

Always remember the saying don’t put the eggs in one basket. try to find other source of income and make your blog as an entrance to those things. Don’t be afraid to look for other niche, try to understand the system and later you will be able to understand it.

Upon checking my Adsense stats I found out that my CTR decrease to about 22%, This is mainly because of the Direct Advertisers but I was able to increase my daily earnings because mainly on blog traffic that I in my last post about 2008 Blogging Statistics.

Biggest earner is this blog, because of the Unique Visits and Regular readers that drive traffic to this blog. Thank You Guys. So watch out for my Blogging Goals for 2009.

Yup I accomplished this one by having my new personal blog { Dexter Panganiban } and my New { Pambata.com } which targets students , and most of my post is written in Tagalog. It is also this year that I made a folder in this site targeting the PRC Board Exam Results

3. Mar Roxas for President in 2010 – Definitely election is coming and I know that there will be a big boost on his blog for campaigning about Mar Roxas and by the way he is an active blogger.
4. Fitz, a blogger with a great thought on making money online , investing and business topics., I like business that much.
5. JoanJoyce, a dedicated blogger discussing interesting thoughts on blogging and lifestyles. I actually found her thru Entrecard and I know every Entrecard users knows her.
6. Technogra.ph/ – Technograph covers the Philippine tech scene, featuring commentary, news, reviews, event coverage, and other related developments.
7. Silkenhut.com Pinoy blogging experiences. Includes blogging tips, technical blogging guides, WordPress, and SEOI
   
8. Atmaxplorer – Games resources, my kids love to have downloaded in their PSP.

Another way to interpret number 1 is not to rely on just one blog. Create several blogs that will cater to various income streams.

Not many know this but I actually have four blogs.

1. A static website blog that simply serves as an online store to market and sell products online and offline. Biggest income source – direct sales. 

Nice idea, I have not yet done this for now since I am abroad and I don’t know what are the goods that Arab people like to buy. PayPal is not yet well known in Saudi Arabia and I also don’t know how to be involve in their Online Market. It is what I called culture difference.

2. A crappy blog that’s dedicated to paid posts and sponsored reviews, doubles as my SEO playground. And since it’s crappy by nature, I simply grab ALL the opps I can get hold of. Hehe. Biggest income source – PPP

One way to really have an income thru blogging is making paid post. I am also doingpaid post, But most of the time I make it using direct method thru online entrepreneur that I am getting to know thru forum. Why, They don’t oblige you to say that your post is sponsored or usually I can receive money before making the post. The only disadvantage is sometimes payment is not as high as the established site. Such as SponsoredReviews.com, PayPerPost, ReviewMe.

3. A Made-For-Adsense blog that’s full of keyword-rich posts aggregated from public domain articles. This one is sooo boring to maintain, but gives good income anyway. Biggest income source – Adsense (obviously) and Kontera

Well actually those kind of site was very popular last year where there are lots of MFA site that are floating in the net. The best part of this is the Passive Income that it is giving. I also maintain some sort of blog that Fitz mentioned, For me I maintain a Song Lyrics Blogs. I also monetize it thru Kontera , Adbrite, & Adsense.

4. And a flagship blog, the one all of you guys know, where I provide the most value to the readers and I enjoy the most writing. Biggest income source – Adsense

Yup as an Online Blogger, It is always our goal to have our brand. That is why we always maintain our best site . Like me I maintain this site as my main site. This site is a semi-Tech, Blogging, SEO with a personal touch. BTW I maintain a blog and not a NEWS site. So better be happy on what you are doing and Online Money will come next. So here are my tips for you.

1. Don’t put all eggs in one basket – This is a common tips from all online marketers. What I mean to say is don’t put all your effort in Google AdSense, There are still other source of income in web. 2. If you go on Pay Per Post or Sponsored Post, don’t grab all the request, that comes from the dashboard just pick all those paid post that is related to your niche. FYI This site is also doing paid review via site that offer review with price, in fact they give more money than AdSense. Just beware of Google Penalty.
3. If you choose Google AdSense as one of your income source, Be sure to read their TOS and other guidelines about it. It will surely help you understand the do’s and don’t to avoid being banned later on. Some more tips here , here, here and here . [ Ooops lots of link ]
4. Don’t treat other blogger in your niche as competitors, treat them as friends. Even sometime they don’t seem to say hello to you, just continue of being their friend, try commenting and even linking to their site and time will come they will link to you and here you go you have one source of referral for your online goal.
5. Create an e-mail that will cater all your monetization gigs / communication, With this you will be able to track all opportunity that will come on your way.
6. Try to do SEO but please do not make any crap post for your SEO purpose. Make sure that when somebody lands on your site, They will be happy and not frustrated by seeing lots of Ads, and not the information that they need.
7. Subscribe to those site that you know will give you good information about your niche. This is the best thing to do specially whenever you want to be on top of the news around the net.
8. Engage in Direct Advertising. I am presently doing direct advertising, FYI my homepage have 4 advertisers with Text Links. I get them from Digital Point. But please control your Direct Advertisers, You should be able to anticipate the number of links that you will sold in your page. Be sure to make list of all the information of the transaction. { You may Contact me for any Advertising question thru my Contact Page }
9. Enroll in PayPal. This will be your money gateway, because most of the transaction is being made thru PayPal Philippines.
10. Don’t forget to join contest and experiment, Who knows you can get those moolah that are just floating in the net.

Wait for the next batch I still have some points in my mind. Subscribed to my Feeds or subscribe thru e-mail so not to left behind with those tips.

Today, we’re announcing that Google is accepting third-party advertising tags on the Google content network in North America. This will empower advertisers to work with approved third parties to serve and track display ads, including rich media ads, across the Google content network through AdWords, giving them more options, flexibility and control over their campaigns.

This means that the program will offer a way to expand their advertiser base and enable advertisers to better understand the value of their inventory, with the goal of increasing their overall revenue. And they’ll be able to show more compelling display ads to their visitors, enhancing their web experience.

I am not really sure on how this help publishers like me. We will see if it can increase my AdSense income and attain my $10/day goal

Anybody has a better idea about this ?

First of all you have to set up your goal in writing. What is your goal while writing, Is it because of fame and be known in your niche later or is it because you want to make more money online ?

Based on my observation, When you give complete information in your content it is unlikely to have an advertisers click from your visitors. The visitors tend to click the “X” mark at the right and then go away and forget your site.

So I believe that adding some space for more information about the subject makes visitors to roam around your site. It also gives possible click in your Advertiser’s Ads.

I also suggest to break your post into a different small post at about 200 to 300 words per article.

But if you would like to be known as an expert in your field in which later on you will harvest the fruits of your work. I would suggest to make quality and long articles that describes fully about the subject. And just wait to increase readership and accept direct advertisers that will pay Cost per CPM. ( By The Way, This might be a long wait )

Some says that small articles will not be SEO ( Search Engine Optimization )  friendly. Please be informed that on the other hand I have noticed that some small post tops at the SERP. It is because they have a good link building strategy.

What is Google Analytics ?

Google Analytics is a free web application that could be used to track your site performance. It can give information about the number of visit and the keywords that has been used for your site to be used. It can also tell you who among site linked to your is giving lots of referrals. Well in fact I have been using their service for about 1 year now, and until now I am still satisfied. If you want to dominate Google, You should be able to know how they are tracking your site. And therefore used an tracking system that is affiliated with it. It can also use to track your SEO Performance.

How can I activate Google Analytics for my site ?

The first thing to do is to have an account with gmail. And proceed with Google Analytics Site and add your site via Add your site profile. Just fill up the details about your site and after that , Google analytics will give you a script that needs to be paste on your site.

What information will Google Analytics give me ?

The most used information that Google Analytics gives is the number of visitors that visited your site. It is part as follows:

Dashboard – It will give a general information about your site, Like number of visits, Page views, Bounce Rate, Average time on site and other information in General.

Visitors – It will give you information on how your visitors reacts or moved at your site. It will give you information on how many pages did the visit and how much time did they spend on your site. What are the bounce rates and other information in which you need to know on how people reacts when they reach your site,

Traffic Sources – If you want to know where did your visitors came from, It might be from other site, Other search engine or direct traffic. This part of Google Analytics will be able to give you that information. It can also give the information regarding the keywords used to reach you site.

Content - It will give you a detailed information about the top content of your site. Where it is frequently visited. Including the keywords..

Goals – I still need to study this one. I have not yet experimented about this.

How Will it Help Me ?

If you know the post that has a highest visitors you would be able to make a follow up post or make a proper linking on that post. Since it has a potential to give you more money. Knowing the keywords that is used to visit your site, you can be able to make another post regarding that matter. For example , I know that this site is being search for some Excel and Microsoft Words Tips. that is why from time to time I am making some additional Tips that my reader would enjoy if they happen to pass by because of my post regarding Microsoft Word and Excel.

Other information

You can even crate more than one account, By doing this you be able to check the other site that you own. It can also be set to provide you a daily email in PDF format regarding your site performance for the day. The information provided by Google Analytics is really very important. This is what I am checking almost everyday to know if my site is doing well. And to know how to improve more. I just hope this information helps my readers.I have also made a post regarding blog stats. This is also a nice tools in order to know if your SEO Campaign is working.

There might be some disagreement. As always this is based on my experience. Any other input is welcome. I love when somebody has some other information to share.

1. What subject will you post today ?

   • It is important to know your subject before starting any strategy that you need to do. The reason is you need to focus on that subject.

2. Search for your archives

   • Upon knowing your subject and the keywords that you need to optimized from your blog. You have to search from your archives the best post that you have ever made for that particular keywords. If you have selected it get its URL and begin linking to that page.
   • If you are using WordPress it will be easier to go to Manage >> Post and then search for any keyword to all your post archive.

3. Link using the keyword that you want to optimize

   • Don’t just link it the way you want. You have to link it using the keywords that you need to optimized for that particular subject.
   • How just follow these syntax [ <a href="http://www.techathand.net/seo-friendly-way-of-moving-your-old-blogspot-blog-post/">SEO</a> ]
   • The above example shows search engine that the links is all about SEO , because I use SEO as the anchor text of the link. Avoid using here,there,etc.. This will not help your SEO goals .
   • You may use also your other blogs to give some more links to that particular post.

4. Expand your Subject to get another Post

   • You have to expand your subject into a digested post so that you can have a new post that can again be directed to your archived post that you need to be in # 1 of Google Search.
   • A subject can always be expanded. Sometime it can be expanded from those question that arise during comment discussion.

5. Remember those post that you link before

   • Don’t forget to remember those post that you link to before since this post should be the only one to be link whenever you make any post that relates to that subject. With this method you are increasing the juice of that post that pushes to the # 1 spot of Search Engine.

6. Do not make no follow on Internal Links

   • Don’t make no-follow links for your internal post. I only make no-follow for those site which I believe have tons of incoming links already. and that my link to them is not needed.

7. Put Title on all your Internal links

   • Don’t forget to make title for you links. It may not help your readers, but it will help those bot’s that is visiting your site.
   • How . Just follow these syntax [ <a title="SEO Effort" href="http://www.techathand.net/seo-friendly-way-of-moving-your-old-blogspot-blog-post/">SEO</a> ]
   • With the above example I have an anchor text of SEO and I have a title of SEO Effort

8. Do Not link to Category

   • Linking to your category tag of your blog is not healthy for your SEO concern since whenever the bot pass there and index it, It will show as a duplicate content with in your blog.

9. Do not link to Month Archives

   • Like item 9, linking to Monthly archives is not healthy for your blog. Instead link at any post that you believe worthy to be in Google Top Spot.

10. The post that you should optimize should have no Outgoing links

    • It is better to optimize an old post that has not external or internal links, Since upon having any links, it will just pass the juice that you want to build. But if you think those links need to be there, Try to put no-follow tag.

Below picture shows a proper way of internal Linking that helps the SEO concern. Since all link juice is being concentrated to the post at the center.

Below link strategy is not suggested since We don’t know what particular post needs to be optimized. One post is always leaking some juice.
