There are a few special URLs, which begin with about:, that you can type into the Location Bar.

• about: — The same page as “Help -> About”.
• about:about — Lists all these about: URLs (Mozilla Suite only).
• about:blank — A blank page. Useful for setting as your homepage.
• about:bloat — Displays BloatView output (disabled in release builds).
  • about:bloat?new
  • about:bloat?clear
• about:buildconfig — Reveals details about your Mozilla build options.
• about:cache — Displays cache statistics and disk cache directory location.
  • about:cache?device=memory — Lists memory cache entries.
  • about:cache?device=disk — Lists disk cache entries.
• about:cache-entry — Shows information about a cache entry. Used in about:cache links. Requires parameters.
• about:config — GUI for modifying user preferences (prefs.js).
• about:credits — The list of contributors to the Mozilla projects.
• about:logo — Displays the Mozilla logo (Mozilla Suite only).
• about:kitchensink — Was never included in Mozilla for the reasons listed in Bug 122411 (“Mozilla does not have a kitchen sink”). You can install an extension that adds it though
• about:license — shows the Mozilla Public License and the Netscape Public License for the piece of software. ( Only in products based on Gecko 1.8 )
• about:mozilla — The famous Book of Mozilla.
• about:plugins — Lists all your plugins as well as other useful information.

Today I am using “about:blank” as my default page. It is cool to see, only white screen when I open my browser.

I love Firefox compare to Iexplore. For me Firepox is more secured. The only problem I have with Firefox if for Bank website since mnost of the bank has been encrypted to use Iexpore.

One of the advantage is I can also put the RSS feeds ( Titles of the post )on my toolbar . Here are the steps in to follow in migrating from Internet Explorer to Firefox. Don’t be afraid it will not ruin you web experience.

Step 1 : Download firefox here http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/ . Please be noted that It is important to save the installer in the hard disk before Execution . Because there is always a probability of using this files on other Computers. Just a friendly advise.

Step 2 : Install and Run Firefox

Step 3 : Download the google toolbar here http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/toolbar/

After installing you have the option to install other plug ins. Don’t worry it will ask you to install whenever you go to a site where you need this plugins.

Whenever you have installed the Google Tool bar , You can see the Subscribe button ( Orange Color ) in which it will only appear whenever the website your viewing has an RSS Feeds. Then press that button slightly and Pick Choose reader the best option is the “Firepox Live Bookmarks” or at the Toolbars. Then press and you can see the RSS feeds of that site in the Toolbar. You can just view this feeds to check if there something new .
