It is great to have Flickr Pro Account ( I got 1208 photos to date ) since you can easily upload all pictures that you take and at the same time it can be protected by copyrights law.

Sigma 70-300mm is great for outside shooting if your far from the subject. Although sometimes there are bit delay in the focus but anyway in total it is great. I will make my full review of that lens later. By The way for those of you who don’t know yet I am using Canon EOS 400D

Last June 5,2008 Anton has filed the cased with his lawyer Atty Rod Vera into the Regional Trial Court with case #08-436 for copyright infringement and damages.

I think this will probably be the first time an EXIF file will be used as Evidence in the Philippines. Now will the Philippine copyright law and protection be tested ? Or there will be a settlement later on.

It is good that somebody is brave enough to face a giant. This will be like David & Goliath Story .

I remember the days when I use to watch cartoon movies, and one cartoon movies that I remember is the Mighty Mouse, a 2D cartoon series of a superhero that look like a mouse.

The cartoon series was own by CBS, They own the copyright of using Mighty Mouse in the Cartoon Series.

Later on when MAC decided to make a branded mouse they bought the name Mighty Mouse from CBS and use it as their brand name.

But I have read a report that MAC and CBS are being sued for trademark infringement by a competing interface manufacturer. Man and Machine is claiming that they have the full rights to use the name since they have been selling its Mighty Mouse product waterproof and chemical resistant mice under the same name to labs and hospitals Earlier than MAC.

Man and Machines now argues that CBS didn’t have the right to offer Apple the license to the name, as the CBS trademark on the name doesn’t cover goods in that category. Man and Machines argues it holds the trademark for use of the Mighty Mouse name in conjunction with an interface controller. Alongside the legal case it is also challenging the CBS trademark with a filing at the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Now whom do you think the real owner ?, So it is really important to have your brand name protected. Hmm.. I am now thinking of having my website name patented under me

So I can therefore conclude that in SEO Business, Wrong Spelling might give you some additional exposure. But you have to explain it to your readers.

It might give a wrong impression that your blog is a crop blog and that you don’t even know how to write a proper spelling. Informing your reader and explaining the reason why you’ve got a wrong spelling is I believe a fair post. Others might disagree, You may say freely your comments. The case stemmed from Microsoft’s allegedly unauthorized and illegal “digital copying” and distribution of a locally developed manual on the use of Microsoft Office.

Originally titled “The SEC Microsoft Office XP Manual,” the 379-page manual was copyrighted in 2005 by SEC director Conrad Mañalac for the exclusive use of teachers and students.

in 2004, Microsoft Philippines reportedly purchased licenses to print 10,000 copies of the SEC manual, now retitled “Innovate: A Mentor’s Guide to ICT Foundation Competencies,” which was used for the company’s “Partners in Learning” program for high school teachers.

In October 2006, Microsoft distributed the manual (in PDF format) through CDs as part of its corporate giveaways during two separate events.

The distribution of PDF format is the basis of the law suit, The lawyer Estelito Mendoza said that this is a case of copyright infringement. It is also regarded as the first legal case of IP violation filed versus Microsoft in the Philippines.

This will be sensational since a giant company like Microsoft under suit by Philippine School. This only shows that in Philippines we give protection to intellectual property. ( Agree or Dis-Agree ? )
