These stealthy activities had stolen billion dollars worth of data, including intellectual properties. The U.S. intelligence has linked the hacking to different groups based in China. The gravity of the attacks and the sensitive data and technologies it steals from various organizations result to serious pressures on the US government to take a firmer stand on cyber attacks. Cbsnews.com reported the said issue.

The truth of the matter is, U.S., one of the strongest countries in the world, virtually has no jurisdiction to prosecute cyber robbers based in China simply because there are no mutual agreements between the China and the US. That, plus given the fact that it is very difficult to show proof of hacking coming from certain people.

China has constantly rejected any allegations of cyber hacking and states that it is also a target of the popular crime. According to James Cartwright, who used to be the Joint Chiefs of Staff vice chairman, US basically can’t do anything about cyber hacking and that it has been perceived “risk-free” by cyber criminals. He urged the government to take a stronger stand against cyber hackers.

In the last decade, the attacks are being targeted to critical industries like defense, finance and energy. According to different reports, Cyber analysts are confident that hackers are based in China, specifically in Beijing, because of their unique digital fingerprints.

Cartwright suggested to that the government create a policy that will allow U.S. to go through diplomatic channels to ask China to stop detected attacks and eventually have the right to stop the server to sending malicious software by any means to avoid further damage.

Just this morning I received an email from Twitter, Twitter is now stopping SMS updates for to those not leaving in UK. I am sad since this what I am using to be informed that somebody had made me a direct message over twitter. I will normally check my twitter account the moment i got Message from my Mobile Phone. And SMS Message is always faster to get the message. Here is the complete Email that Twitter send.

Hi,

I’m sending you this note because you registered a mobile device to work with Twitter over our UK number. I wanted to let you know that we are making some changes to the way SMS works on Twitter. There is some good news and some bad news. I’ll start with the bad news. Beginning today, Twitter is no longer delivering outbound SMS over our UK number. If you enjoy receiving updates from Twitter via +44 762 480 1423, we are recommending that you explore some suggested alternatives. Note: You will still be able to UPDATE over our UK number. Before I go into more detail, here’s a bit of good news: Twitter will be introducing several new, local SMS numbers in countries throughout Europe in the coming weeks and months. These new numbers will make Twittering more accessible for you if you’ve been using SMS to send long-distance updates from outside the UK. Why are we making these changes? Mobile operators in most of the world charge users to send updates. When you send one message to Twitter and we send it to ten followers, you aren’t charged ten times–that’s because we’ve been footing the bill. When we launched our free SMS service to the world, we set the clock ticking. As the service grew in popularity, so too would the price. Our challenge during this window of time was to establish relationships with mobile operators around the world such that our SMS services could become sustainable from a cost perspective. We achieved this goal in Canada, India, and the United States. We can provide full incoming and outgoing SMS service without passing along operator fees in these countries. We took a risk hoping to bring more nations onboard and more mobile operators around to our way of thinking but we’ve arrived at a point where the responsible thing to do is slow our costs and take a different approach.

Since you probably don’t live in Canada, India, or the US, we recommend receiving your Twitter updates via one of the following methods.

m.twitter.com works on browser-enabled phones

m.slandr.net works on browser-enabled phones

TwitterMail.com works on email-enabled phones

Cellity [http://bit.ly/12bw4R] works on java-enabled phones TwitterBerry

[http://bit.ly/MFAfJ] works on BlackBerry phones

Twitterific [http://bit.ly/1WxjwQ] works on iPhones

Twitter SMS by The Numbers It pains us to take this measure. However, we need to avoid placing undue burden on our company and our service. Even with a limit of 250 messages received per week, it could cost Twitter about $1,000 per user, per year to send SMS outside of Canada, India, or the US. It makes more sense for us to establish fair billing arrangements with mobile operators than it does to pass these high fees on to our users. Twitter will continue to negotiate with mobile operators in Europe, Asia, China, and The Americas to forge relationships that benefit all our users. Our goal is to provide full, two-way service with Twitter via SMS to every nation in a way that is sustainable from a cost perspective. Talks with mobile companies around the world continue. In the meantime, more local numbers for updating via SMS are on the way. We’ll keep you posted.

Thank you for your attention,

Biz Stone, Co-founder Twitter, Inc.

http://twitter.com/biz

I hope that they can manage to put it back and arrange a good relationship with some telephone Company in different parts of the world.

It is now a buzz in the media about twitter, Twitter has become an efficient tool in disseminating information regarding the China Earthquake.

Rory Cellan-Jones from BBC – I was beginning to think Twitter – the micro-blogging service that’s all the rage amongst the technorati – was just another fad for people who want to share too much of their rather dull lives. Until this morning.

Online Journalism Blog.com – The first interesting point is Tweetburner: its most-clicked links shared on Twitter are almost entirely about the earthquake, and show some interesting uses:

Twitter Beats (Wow, By 3 Minutes) The USGS With China Earthquake News – Hey, I like Twitter, but this entire thing Robert Scoble started about how Twitter had news of the Chinese earthquake before the US Geological Survey seemed absurd. Did it really? As it turns out, probably so — by about three minutes. Reading some of the accounts, you’d get the impression Twitter seemed to alert the USGS to the news.

Chinaherald.net – For me, Twitter had developed in a few hours time into an excellent information tool, combining different sources of information and I knew more about the earthquake than many people in China.

Indeed above information only shows that lots are having benefits from new Twitter Tools. So Twitter is not just like expressing your ideas it can also a channel of lot’s of information.
While Apple is doing their best to make their product as unique as possible cloners are also doing their best in order to clone their product. The DaXian X999 ( iPhone Clone ) is out as reported by engadget [ Picture where captured from engadget ] .The Daxian X999 has an specification as follows :

3.2-inch single-touch QVGA screen, dual 2MP cameras, motion and proximity sensors -the UI is actually a TouchFLO clone running on what is surely an unlicensed copy of Windows Mobile 6.0. That’s a hat trick, people and to top it all off, the list price is a staggering $369.

Well they have copied the iPhone very well. I wonder when an original iPhone will again be available here in Saudi Arabia. When an original iPhone was introduced in the market about a month ago it was sold out immediately, they say that an international phone card or even local phone cards can be used in that phone.

BTW calling card using a local phone is still existing in the market today for just 20 Saudi riyals you can still use it to call your love ones if you don’t have an cloned iPhone

I have been thinking on how you can increase unique visitors and page views of your blog. And one of the idea that comes to me is to know how your visitors react or view your content even without commenting. I would like to emphasize here the use of the Google Analytics. This analytics will show you on what particular keyword does your site being visited and what particular keyword leads your visitors to stay a while in your blog. When visitors stays at your blog it only means that he is interested in that topic.

Such task that the analytics can give are as follows :

1) To be able to know what particular post gives lots of visitors from search engine

By knowing the particular post that gives a lot of visitors, You can now write another topic that relates with the topic and linking to it to give more information. By this you may increase your page views because those visitors that comes from that post might consider reading another topic within your blog that relates to his original landing page.

2) To be able to know the keywords used, to reach that particular post

If you know the keywords used in order to enter those landing page. You will have the idea on what particular keyword is your blog has high chance to be noticed. Another is it can again give another idea on how to make a new blog post.I as a reader likes to click any additional information that I might find with the topic that I am searching .

3) To be able to know the Bounce Rate of a Certain post

In this stat the lower the bounce rate the better. Since if you have a lower bounce rate that will only mean that you get your readers attention and they are reading other post which is related to the subject. That is why proper linking to your other old post is needed.

4) To be Able to know your Visitors country

If you know your visitors geographic location you will be able to make a post that relates to them, An example is if your visitors is from Philippines writing something about in China which does not relates to Philippines is awkward

5) To be Able to know what post has a highest Page/Visit Stats

Knowing this stats will give you an idea where your campaign to increase readership is going ahead. Knowing what post has higher page/visit stat it will give you an idea on what your reader prefers to read. So you may have an idea on what kind of post would you like to focus and might result an increase of readership.

My General View

There are still some other stats that Google Analytics have. Those mentioned above are just some of it. But if you will have a good Idea on what is happening on your site, your post idea will follow. Why do you have to keep on posting that no one cares. It is just a waste of time. Even you are blogging for fame or for monetization. But still you are the owner of the blog and nobody can say what is right or wrong in your content.

Know what your reader wants and give what they want. And Search Engine Ranking Page ( SERP ) will follow. Don’t focus first with the Search Engine Optimization ( SEO ) first focus with the reader and then ranking and income will follow.

Still the content is King.

One of the fast growing scenario in the Internet is buying online and making business online, But one could have a question on which Bank or Company could be trusted? I have made a list of banks in Philippines and their links to their online transactions. I have made a list , links and experience with this banks as follows :

Metrobank Philippines

I have been using Metrobank for almost 3 years in doing Online Banking transactions and all seems to be fine. I did not encounter any problem with them. Except that they turn off the third party enrollment due to Online Phishing. But its a great move. I feel safe in using their online banking.

Citibank Philippines

My experience in Citibank is by using their online banking for their Credit Card. I can check my Balance and Payment made thru online. They also support Payment system thru their online Banking. I feel safe in using their online banking.

PNB ( Philippine National Bank )

I don’t have experience at this bank. You may check their site for additional information

HSBC

I don’t have experience at this bank. You may check their site for additional information

BPI ( Bank of the Philippine Island )

I don’t have experience at this bank. You may check their site for additional information

Chinabank

I was using Chinabank online before to check and transfer money form an account to another account. They also support payment Online, To enable you to pay your debts and Utilities Online

Equitable PCI Bank

I have tried to used their service before and I may say that I did not experience problem with their online system . Except that if you are an OFW and working far from Philippines you will having a hard time to get your password if in case you forget it. Which is good for us. I feel safe in using their online banking.

BDO ( Banco de Oro )

They have also a simple interface that is being used in online system. You can apply to have an online PIN thru their branches which is commonly seen in SM Supermarket. Payment can also be made thru their Online Banking.

United Coconut Planters Bank

I don’t have experience at this bank. You may check their site for additional information

RCBC ( Rizal Commercial banking Corporation )

I don’t have experience at this bank. You may check their site for additional information

AIG

My experience in this bank is using their Credit Card system, At that time I am checking my balance thru emailing their Customer service. And since I am abroad they are replying to me after some verification question. Although this might be dangerous since you do not know where this information goes. Anyway I did not have any problem wit them.

Standard Chartered Bank Philippines

I don’t have experience at this bank but their online information

Is there any additional Bank which you think should be included in the list. At present I am using Metrobank.

Almost all this bank is working fine in I-explore and not in Fire Fox.

I would like to know your experience on the above mentioned banks. This aims to help others to feel comfortable in doing online transactions and Business. I just hope that Paypal is available in Receiving and sending money to and from Philippines. You may put the advantage and disadvantage of the Technology being used in Online Banking.
