The above graph shows my AdSense earnings this year compared to last year. I may say that it triples my earnings this year in AdSense Alone. But if you will deduct the expenses for hosting at Dreamhost I may say that it is only a few dollar from my earnings. I was also able to do private Advertising thru forums and contacts in the industry. If I will sum it up ( including Peyd post , Which I already stop doing ) I can say that in this year I made 5 times on what I have last year.

It was a really great year for me and I am looking for another great year to come. I am now studying the ins and outs of Affiliate Marketing and I know I still have lots to learn. So If you want to know the details about it, just keep an eye in my Personal Blog because it is there where I will details the finding that I may find with Affiliate Marketing. Paypal ( Affiliate links ) helps a lot in doing Online Transaction because I am able to transfer payment from Paypal ( Affiliate links ) to my Citibank Credit Card.

I stop doing Peyd Post since I am having issues with my blog indexing and SEO Matters in this blog.

Always remember the saying don’t put the eggs in one basket. try to find other source of income and make your blog as an entrance to those things. Don’t be afraid to look for other niche, try to understand the system and later you will be able to understand it.

Upon checking my Adsense stats I found out that my CTR decrease to about 22%, This is mainly because of the Direct Advertisers but I was able to increase my daily earnings because mainly on blog traffic that I in my last post about 2008 Blogging Statistics.

So How will you know the Pages with lots of Visit from Search Engine ?

It is simple you just have to learn how you can track your visitors from Google Anaytics. I have made a post about Google Analytics function and how it can help you gain more visitors. You have to remember that those visitors will give you good earnings if your ads are properly placed.

After knowing those pages that gives lots of visitors from search engine you may now put the Google Adsense link codes that you made in Adsense site. You can directly paste it with in the post or you can use Adsense Ad Manager Plug-in ( I have not used this one for a long time ). It is up to you to decide.

What Size of Google Adsense Links ?

I use 180 x 90 with 4 links to display. Well you can experiment in your site on what will be the bet option.

Where to Put the Codes ?

Well it defends in your content, you can put it just after the title or your can float it in left or right, well it is up to you to decide. You have to make some experiments in order to get the highest CTR. ( Click Thru Rate ) from Google AdSense.

Assurance of Success

Well it works for me, and I think it might also work for you. I also think that since search engine visitors are looking for information, any links that they will see in your page that relates on his aim will be clicked.

Testing if it Works

You can record your Google adSense earning and stats today as you baseline or you can install click aider to know what part works best. But of course driving Google Adsense BOT only to your content will help to get a related ads for that particular post. You also have to take note the CTR of your new codes after a week. Having about 4% to 5% CTR is a good sign already but if you could make it higher it will be better.

In all your experiments you should always have a baseline so you know if your being successful or failure.

1. Since Adsense Earnings can be shown in Channel and Daniel Scocco of DailyBlogtips.com want to use this to track the earnings, I would suggest that a Back up data coming from Google Analytics will be a great Idea. Participant should give Daniel an Access to Google Analytics.

Nope it is not nobody knows what will be the future of your site, Visitors is going up as per Google Analytics am I sure that after a year I still have this single digit per day or I will have 2 digit per day . Who knows. I think If I will have to decide on that matter, I will have to put both but reduce the AdSense and get Direct Advertisers.

Where to get Direct Advertisers ?

Usually Direct Advertisers came from Forums. One forum I know that can give lots of Direct Advertisers with right amount is Digital Point and Site Point. Well I tried doing business in Digital Point but not in Site Point. There is also V7n.com.

I have seen some top sites that get advertiser thru bigger Advertising deal, Big means those advertisers that only advertise in Media Prints or Television. I think you have to prove something before you can get those advertisers. Well I personally don’t know how to get one. Usually those big advertiser go to News Paper Site, or Well known media site who have millions of visitors per month.

Just to inform you those Direct Advertisers link at my homepage and side bar gives more income way far behind AdSense.

Maybe some of you will ask why don’t I put my Advertising Page, Well I am planning to put one but as you can see, I need to first re-arrange my theme or I prefer link advertisers, so that it will not annoy my visitors but does it annoys ?

1. Blog on niche or subject that you really know, and not those subject which to pretend to know. I can see blogs that blog about those subject that they really don’t know. They just pick information in the net and compile it on their blog. I believe it is not fair.
2. Show expertise on your niche to be able to get the trust of your reader, You must be able to answer question which pertains to your blog subject.
3. Be friendly both Offline and Online events. remember without your reader your blog is useless.Try to respond to the comments that they have written in your blog and got to their blog and comment also. You may also try to subscribe to their Feeds so that you will able to know the latest information about that blog.
4. Write for your readers and not for the Search Engine, I sometime write for search engine but I make sure that those post do not appear on the homepage. So that it will not disrupt my new visitors.
5. Learn how to make research on proper keyword to be used. As the saying goes there are many ways to cook an egg. So be sure to cook it properly and tasty.
6. Learn how to apply SEO on your post, This is most of the time being neglected. Always remember hat if you want to earn something from your online presence, Visitors coming from the Search Engine are your probable customers.
7. If you really like to blog and make a brand for your blog, why don’t you spend $10 for your domain name and some money for your host. A blog looks more professional when domain name does not come from free hosting site. And consider making a good graphics for your new blog.
8. If you are just gaining visitors and you would like to promote your blog, Be sure your blog has enough good information before you advertise or market your blog.
9. Know how to use the social book marking sites and learn to get your analytics.

After checking stats via Google Analytics I have decided to make some changes on my site. I made some renovation with this blog. This is to improve my SEO ( Search Engine Optimization )  as well as to fulfill my aim to reduce my bounce rate. Currently I am having about 75% Bounce rate based on Google Analytics. If I can pull this down to 50%, it will be a good indication that what I am doing is good. My plans are mentioned below :

1. I will remove the category links at the sidebar , This is because I have been influenced in by this post [ What Every Blogger Needs To know about categories ] , With this I could be able to follow the suggestion of most SEO practitioner , That in order for your site crawl to be effective BOT should find your content in only 2 to 3 clicks.
2. I will make Must Read Articles at my Side Bar ( To Do )
3. Blogging Articles both for basic and for advance users ( To Do )
4. I will feature also the great SEO Tips that I made. ( To Do )

Updates June 07,2008 : I have Put back my categories. After changing my category pages

Based on experienced the last few days, I am testing doing a schedule posting and Immediate publishing of my post and I found out that when you publish your document as soon as possible Google can index it in an about 15 to 30 minutes whereas when I post a schedule post it will take about 4 to 5 hours before it can be indexed by Google.

How am I doing the SEO Experiment and What is the Result ?

This testing is only applicable to those sites that has been indexed by Google before.

Scenario : Publishing Immediately

After publishing your post wait for about 10 to 15 minutes and head over to Google, Get your title and copy paste to Google Search Bar. Usually it will give you a response of your post Title with your Permalink on it.

Scenario : Scheduled Publishing

After seeing the post in the Front Page and do the same above will not result you any relevant to your Permalink.After an hour or two it might give you Your homepage address having a bold letters for your title. That will only means that it is cached from your homepage.

Publishing in an Search Engine Optimized Way

1) Don’t make an schedule post not unless it is necessary.

2) When you have any great news or article post it immediately as soon as you could.

3) Schedule your posting only if you will go to vacation wherein you cannot do your blogging hobby on time.

4) Better make draft then later publish.

Conclusion

It only means that Your blog Pings Google immediately if you publish your post immediately and it will have a delayed ping for the scheduled post. I have tried this theory in about 5 post. Other tips for linking here.

Google Analytics is a free web application that could be used to track your site performance. It can give information about the number of visit and the keywords that has been used for your site to be used. It can also tell you who among site linked to your is giving lots of referrals. Well in fact I have been using their service for about 1 year now, and until now I am still satisfied. If you want to dominate Google, You should be able to know how they are tracking your site. And therefore used an tracking system that is affiliated with it. It can also use to track your SEO Performance.

How can I activate Google Analytics for my site ?

The first thing to do is to have an account with gmail. And proceed with Google Analytics Site and add your site via Add your site profile. Just fill up the details about your site and after that , Google analytics will give you a script that needs to be paste on your site.

What information will Google Analytics give me ?

The most used information that Google Analytics gives is the number of visitors that visited your site. It is part as follows:

Dashboard – It will give a general information about your site, Like number of visits, Page views, Bounce Rate, Average time on site and other information in General.

Visitors – It will give you information on how your visitors reacts or moved at your site. It will give you information on how many pages did the visit and how much time did they spend on your site. What are the bounce rates and other information in which you need to know on how people reacts when they reach your site,

Traffic Sources – If you want to know where did your visitors came from, It might be from other site, Other search engine or direct traffic. This part of Google Analytics will be able to give you that information. It can also give the information regarding the keywords used to reach you site.

Content - It will give you a detailed information about the top content of your site. Where it is frequently visited. Including the keywords..

Goals – I still need to study this one. I have not yet experimented about this.

How Will it Help Me ?

If you know the post that has a highest visitors you would be able to make a follow up post or make a proper linking on that post. Since it has a potential to give you more money. Knowing the keywords that is used to visit your site, you can be able to make another post regarding that matter. For example , I know that this site is being search for some Excel and Microsoft Words Tips. that is why from time to time I am making some additional Tips that my reader would enjoy if they happen to pass by because of my post regarding Microsoft Word and Excel.

You can even crate more than one account, By doing this you be able to check the other site that you own. It can also be set to provide you a daily email in PDF format regarding your site performance for the day. The information provided by Google Analytics is really very important. This is what I am checking almost everyday to know if my site is doing well. And to know how to improve more. Such task that the analytics can give are as follows :

1) To be able to know what particular post gives lots of visitors from search engine

By knowing the particular post that gives a lot of visitors, You can now  write another topic that relates with the topic and linking to it to give more information. By this you may increase your page views because those visitors that comes from that post might consider reading another topic within your blog that relates to his original landing page.

2) To be able to know the keywords used, to reach that particular post

If you know the keywords used in order to enter those landing page. You will have the idea on what particular keyword is your blog has high chance to be noticed. Another is it can again give another idea on how to make a new blog post.I as a reader likes to click any additional information that I might find with the topic that I am searching .

In this stat the lower the bounce rate the better. Since if you have a lower bounce rate that will only mean that you get your readers attention and they are reading other post which is related to the subject. That is why proper linking to your other old post is needed.

If you know your visitors geographic location you will be able to make a post that relates to them, An example is if your visitors is from Philippines writing something about in China which does not relates to Philippines is awkward

Knowing this stats will give you an idea where your campaign to increase readership is going ahead. Knowing what post has higher page/visit stat it will give you an idea on what your reader prefers to read. So you may have an idea on what kind of post would you like to focus and might result an increase of readership.

My General View

There are still some other stats that Google Analytics have.Those mentioned above are just some of it. But if you will have a good Idea on what is happening on your site, your post idea will follow. Why do you have to keep on posting that no one cares.It is just a waste of time. Even you are blogging for fame or for monetization. But still you are the owner of the blog and nobody can say what is right or wrong in your content.

Know what your reader wants and give what they want. And Search Engine Ranking Page ( SERP ) will follow. Don’t focus first with the Search Engine Optimization ( SEO ) first focus with the reader and then ranking and income will follow.

Still the content is King.

What are the Different Types of Visitors ?

1) Regular Visitors

A regular visitors are those visitor who is continually checking your site everyday looking for some fresh contents. Since this type of visitors believe that they can get good quality from your blog.

2) Referred Visitors

Those are visitors referred by other site who links to you

3) Social Media Visitors

Those are visitors referred by Social Media Site such as DIGG, Reddit, Stumble Upon, Delicious etc.

4) Search Engine Visitors

This visitor is the result of any search engine optimization that you are conducting in order to drive visitors to your site

5) Visitors via Ads

Those are the visitors that comes from you Ad campaign, such as Adwords or from Adbrite

6) Forum Visitors

Those are visitors that come from the links in the forums that you have made. While making conversation to othe forum members.

7) Entrecard Visitors

Those are visitors that come from Entrecard.

Below are some question which explain my opinion about those type of visitors.

Who Should be First Pleased ?

Among those listed type of visitors above, A question arise on whom should You pleased first ? Some may say Social Media Visitors, Some may say the other type of visitors. For me I think You should work out first for the Regular Visitors. Since those visitor are the one who will make your blog alive and kicking. They will be the one who will create conversation in the comments section in which one of an indication that a blog is growing.

It is not worth putting up a blog which don’t have any commenter. This is just like talking to the air where in nobody is listening. Al though regular visitors will seldom press any ads on your blog. Still they are the most important visitors in my blog. I believe that without them my site will not be a better place to stay in the web.

How to Retain Visitors and Make Them a Regular one ?

My own trick is to answer almost all your commenter’s question or opinion. You may agree or disagree, but it is very important for you to reply. To let them think that you value them match. Try to go to their Website and try to find in those category of a subject that you know and then comment.

You will see you feed counts will rise. I came from almost nothing and within a month from the day that this blog has been resurrected now it has 76 Feeds subscriber and about 8,000 unique visits this month. So I can conclude that I am on a right path.

Does my Regular Visitors annoyed with ADs ?

If they do, They can always add a Firefox plugin called adblock. This plugin aim to blocks all ads at this site let my Regular visitors enjoy the real objective in coming to my blog and that is to read my article.

To Whom Should be Your Next Focus ?

If you have already a number of regular visitors perhaps about 50. This information is available from your stat. I am using Google Analytics for that matter. I believe the next in line should be the Referred Visitors. This visitor are the result from a click to a link from other Website who is linked to yours.

Links comes usually comes from regular visitors who have blogs. They are trying to send some readers at your site tipping them on what you are writing. Stats also shows that those referred visitor are more likely to be converted to regular visitors of your blog.

To retain the referred visitors your blog should have a great navigation system in which your visitor can easily see what they want to see.

If am new to a site I usually look for the Top Post, to give me the idea on what kind of niche does a certain blog portray.

Actually when doing your next step to gain links from other blog to have a referred visitor, you are now also doing an optimization to attract visitor from Social Media Site. Since if your referred and regular visitor has an account in Social Media. the tendency is they are going to send your article if they found it great. And after they enter it on the system there is now a chance to get visitors from Social Media Sites.

The Next Should be Search Engine Visitors

This is the part wherein your SEO Skills will be tested. What is the use of a great or tasty food if nobody could find this. This is same thing with blog, If you want your blog to be noticed by those looking for some information. It is really very important that your post will be Search Engine Friendly to gain Search Engine Visitors.

Do we gain from Search engine Visitor?

Definitely Yes, Among all other visitors aside from Visitor via ads, The Search Engine Visitor has high percentage of clicking your ads, because usually those type of visitors are searching for information. And if they found that your ads is giving some good information. For sure they will click it.

With regards to this visitors you will have to prepare your blog for their arrival, such as doing some modification with our AdSense colors, location etc. if you are using AdSense. Some says that you have a very good convertion if you 6% of your visitors clicks your ads.

Then Visitors via ADS

I have read a lot regarding this, but I have not yet tried it. Meaning to say, I need to study how things goes with this one. Not all have succeed in playing with Adwords. But most of the players here are saying that when somebody tries to click and ads you make, there is also a great chance that your visitor will also click the ads that you have on your landing page. But the question on if you can retain them as reader, is I believe a question.

What About Forum & Entrecard Visitors

These visitors are likely to stay since those visitors knows you from the forum. Or they came to your site since they want to know more about you. Another possible RSS Subscriber.
