How to Setup WAP by Enabling GPRS and MMS of Smart Cell Phones
I have been asked by one of my visitors on How to Setup WAP by Enabling GPRS and MMS for Smart enabled Cell Phones in Philippines. So by looking in the internet I found this solution from http://www.kokeytechnology.com ( Thanks )
So this tutorial on how how to enable GPRS and MMS of cell phones powered by Smart Telecoms in the Philippines thru Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) is applicable to most of nokia S60 handset. This setup will work in S60 models of Nokia like Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic (and other Nokia N-Series and E-Series mobile phones).
How to Enable WAP via Text
Go to Menu -> Services -> WAP -> Settings -> Edit Profile
Select Smart WAP, Press Activate Profile and Save
Go to Menu -> Messages -> MMS -> Message Settings -> Server Profile
Select Smart MMS, Select Activate Profile and Save
Activate by texting “MMS ON‘ to 3401
Manual Setup for Mobile Phones to Enable GPRS
Go to Menu -> Services -> Data Account -> GPRS
Select Smart GPRS
Account Name: “Smart GPRS”
APN: “internet”
Select Smart MMS
Account Name: “Smart MMS”
APN: “mms”
Exit and save settings
Manual Setup for Mobile Phones to Enable MMS
Go to Menu -> Messages -> MMS -> Message Settings -> Server Profile
Select a Smart MMS, Select Edit Profile
Rename Profile: “Smart MMS”
Homepage: “’http://10.102.061.238:8002”
Data Account: “Smart GPRS”
Connection Type: Select “HTTP”
Proxy Address: Enter “010.102.061.046”
Proxy Port: Enter “8080”
Select Activate Profile
Manual Setup for Mobile Phones to Enable WAP
Go to Menu -> Services -> WAP -> Settings -> Edit Profile
Select Smart, Select Edit Profile
Rename Profile: “Smart WAP”
Homepage: “http://wap.smart.com.ph”
Data Account: “Smart GPRS”
Connection Type: Select HTTP, Press Ok
Proxy Address: Enter “010.102.061.046”
Proxy Port: Enter “8080”
Select Activate Profile

Can I use my unlocked T-Mo USA-branded Dell Venue Pro for broadband access on the Smart network? It supports the ff bands: UMTS 900/2100/1700
GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
HSDPA 7.2Mbps/HSUPA 5.76 Mbps
