It seems that our report the other day about Samsung Google Nexus is true, Its official, Samsung Galaxy nexus is scheduled to launch on January 28 in the Philippines under Smart Communications. As initial offering, Smart will offer the Galaxy Nexus for free under Unlimited Plan 2000 before the end of January 2012. Under this package plan, subscribers can get 200 text messages and 150 minutes call monthly including unlimited data from Smart.

For Samsung fans, you may start to pre-order online between January 21st and January 27 the day before the official launch to secure the unit.

Report says this unit is already on the display for demo purposes at SMART-PLDT Jump Experience Center in SM Megamall. Although price is not yet mentioned but definitely it will be announced on the scheduled launch or earlier for the benefit of prepaid buyers.

Galaxy Nexus runs the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and is going to be an LTE enabled device so expect a superfast  user experience when browsing webpages, app downloads or just when scrolling on the apps. On one hand, this phone gets some complains from users on the shorter battery life with the LTE connectivity service.

In related news, Samsung announces that their future releases of smartphones will enjoy a 24 hour battery life.

As an Apple Authorized Service Provider, Power Mac Center delivers fast and efficient repairs for an outstanding customer experience, with its Apple certified technicians, exclusive access to genuine Apple parts and knowledge base.

The Apple Premium Reseller also further strengthens its AASP arm with its state-of-the art tracking system, the PMC Online Repair Tracking Service (PORTS), which allows customers to check repairs online by logging on at PMC website www.powermaccenter.com.

There are lots of techie guys in the Philippines waiting for the official launch of the Google Nexus in Philippines. It is good to know that sources of unbox.ph says that Google Nexus will soon be launch in Philippines by Smart Telecom. Google Nexus is also not available in Saudi Arabia, where I am living.  The report did not say if this will be exclusive to smart telecom.

It’s a great time to make school assignments

Through the use of Microsoft Office, my kids were able to make their assignments faster, easier and very much presentable. They use Microsoft Office Programs such as Power Point and Microsoft Word.

Nowadays, kids know how to use computers not only for gaming but also for studying, making their projects and doing their assignments as well. Computers and Internet play a major role in making research works and they are also of great help for studying.

It’s a great time to play with the kids

My Son and Daughter both have their own personal computers. I believe that it is a necessity for my kids to have one. They use their PC during weekends and occasionally during weekdays if it is required for them to use their computers to be able to do their assignments easily. We play network games such as Go Cart, Audition and O2 Jam. Through this, we are increasing our bonding moments. Bonding time is important for every family. It is good to have a techy family who has the same passion as I do.

It’s a great time to budget

My wife and I use Microsoft Excel as a tool to calculate and budget things out in our home. We can compare our previous budgets from our present budget so that we can improve on certain matters regarding our budget. Microsoft Excel has been an essential part of our budget calculation. It gives an immediate answer for all our financial balancing that we need to make.

It’s a great time to earn while being with the family

I use my Personal computers at home mainly to make money online by blogging. Being a problogger, I also use some tools and make computers work for me. There are automatic tools that can be used to increase my site’s visibility in the search Engine. Thanks to my computers for I can use them to make my life easier. I was able to spend more time with my family because of the great things that Windows has to offer.

My family is my life and giving them the ease of life is one of my priorities as a father and a husband. Thanks to God for those computers that are being used nowadays. They really make our lives easier.

Good to see that Windows 7 has lots of features that make our lives easier. In my opinion, through the entire evolution of Windows, Windows 7 is the best release that they have ever made.

A recent report stated that the number of waste electronics will double its number in the next fifteen years. E-waste is forecasted to be more than 14 million tons when we reach 2025. Visually, that will amount to 1.47 million cubic feet of electronic waste. In 2010 alone, we had 6 million tons of e-waste amounting to 676 million cubic feet.

So what is the best thing to do with your e-waste? Just like what you do with paper and plastic garbage, it is best to recycle cast off electronics. In the Philippines, you can head to a participating SM Mall where they often held Recycling Market. You can go at SM Malls, bring you old computers / monitors and non-working electrical appliances and exchange them for cash. The Waste Market Day happens every first Friday and Saturday of the month from 8 AM to 2 PM. Aside from cash, you can also exchange some of your recycle waste to some handy items. This green effort is sponsored by SM Group of Companies, Department of Environment and Natural Resources and Philippine Business for the Environment.

E-scrap management still has a long way to go. We are thinking there should be more design innovations that will allow consumers to refurbish and remodel their e-waste. There should also be a reuse effort where we can donate old electronics to more worthy causes. Hopefully this year, the government will put in more effort into creating awareness of proper e-waste management. Let us all work together in keeping Mother Earth happy this 2012!

When I was in college (It was only 15 years ago J), where Internet is not yet as popular compared as today, we often communicate through landline phone and transferred information via CD or Diskette. There were also times when we need to spend overnight in our classmate’s house just to make sure we could compile all the information on time. But those were the old days. Now, students do not have to spend the night in their classmate’s house just to finish their projects. Students could always use Cloud technology in order to be connected and be updated on what their group mates are doing while they are doing other important matters.

As a blogger, I find happiness in sharing my thoughts and experiences through my blog and social media sites anytime, anywhere.
