You might be wondering why my regular readers did not see this post, it is because i use a plugin to prevent SEO’d post in appearing at my feeds and front page. So good luck at your keywords hunting and optimization

First of all I would like to explain the definition of Domain Name. Domain name is your address in the online community, it s your address in the World Wide Web. It is also commonly called URL { Uniform Resource Locator, previously Universal Resource Locator }, so when ever you see http://techathand.net or any words after http:// that is what we called URL. It is the address that you need to give to your friends if you want to promote your website. So enough now for basic information about Domain Name.

Where Can I get a Domain Name ?

Domain name could be free or paid and they are available thru different site. I got my URL from a Philippine Webhosting Company but all other domain name  that i am using in some of my niche site came from Godaddy. You just have to pay for about $9.+ / Year to get your address in the World Wide Web. You can also get a Domain name for free like having it from http://blogspot.com or http://Multiply.com or http://i.ph , that is if you don’t want to invest for your domain name. But a friendly advice. invest a small amount for a year if you are determined to get something out of your blog or site.

As an additional tip, try to find Coupon Code before paying.

Tips in getting your Best and Proper Domain Name

So here are my suggestion in getting your Domain name :

1. Be sure to have your keywords ready when getting your desired domain name.
2. Avoid hyphen in having a domain name.
3. The best domain name might come from .com, .net, .org { You cannot get .edu or .gov – since this is only given to government sites Just for information}
4. The Domain name should be easily remembered, when I choose Tech at Hand Dot Net, what I have in my mind is having technology in our hand. That is why techathand.net has been made. .com is not available on that time so I have to go to the other best option which is .net or .org. Having .com.ph would also be great but my target audience is international.and .com.ph is still costly.
5. Use suffix or prefix if your chosen domain name is not available. ( ie.. if cutedog.com is not available and you really want to have a keywords of cute and dog in your URL you may go to thecutedog.com , or acutedog.com , famouscutedog.com , cutedogforyou.com and so on. So there are lots of possible ways to have your great Domain name.
6. Don’t just get any domain name. Think about it and make it keyword rich and easy to remember.
7. A two word combination of a Domain Name is the best if you can’t get one word domain name.
8. Use your thesaurus or dictionary is searching for a domain name or keywords.
9. Research for the highest keywords searches and use it as your domain name.
10. Avoid associating your Domain name with dates.. so that you can again use that domain name the next season. So if you would like to get domain name related to election avoid having 2010 in your domain name so that you could still use it in barangay election, Senatorial election or any other election. or even election after 3 years.

First of all you should be able to know your niche , and you should be able to identify the blogs of your interest , as an example if your blog is technology you should be able to know the blogs that are giving the latest information among your niche such as a blog that gives first hand information in New mobile phone, Laptop , software etc.

Then the next thing to do is to subscribe to those blogs via RSS. after subscription all you have to do is visit your RSS reader every morning and check any updates. Just make a random check and read those subject that might interest you.

After you got the subject that you want. Go to their blog and read, and comment if possible. And share it with your readers by linking to them. But be sure to use trackbacks when linking in order for you to benefit from linking. check my previous post on how I earn from linking to other Blog Post. I am a self proclaimed Problogger that is why I am teaching you how to earn.

Reading RSS reader might only take 30 to 45 minutes and commenting might only take 30 minutes.

When you make a post, be sure to close your Yahoo Messenger or facebook, they might distract you from reading and make you out of focus. so better concentrate in making post so that it  might only take you to write in about 15 minutes.

Make your blog post consistent in your niche as mush possible. Make your own branding if possible.

If you are a type of News and Sports blogger better check my post about being ahead of the special events. and for sure you will earn from it. You should also analyze your blog traffic.

Be sure to be happy in what you are doing so that you will not find blogging as a boring hobby. So what about you, any suggestion in blogging routine.

I have seen that there are option where you could buy points from facebook . So your US $  for points, I just don’t know if there are facebook user who are really buying points from them. So if it is really true could we sell coins in exchange of money thru our Philippine Paypal. Will this be an additional source of income ? Have you heard of any transaction such as this ? Another Make Money Online ?

Since my kids loves playing Computer Games , they also love to send me virtual gifts thru this Facebook games mentioned above. BTW they could only use the computer during weekdays.  So thanks to my Wife and Kids for sending me gifts such as goat, rabbit and tree .. It is Good to know that Google and John Chow is now united again. So what is the lesson that we could learn from this ? I think if we could have a good brand in the net , Google will be forced to put your keywords specially your site name in the net since it will not be good for them if somebody is searching for a very popular name but it is not showing in the SERP.

John Chow is also known in making paid reviews. So if  John Chow is telling that  his site will now become 100% compliance with Google Webmaster will it mean that he will put Nofollow tags in all his review or Will he block the paid post via robots.txt ? Hmm.. we need to know what will happen since Paid review is one of the source of income by John.

John Chow’s lifted ban will raise lots of question to Big G. So again congratulation to John Chow this will mean more money for him.

Here is the statistics of this blog , Thanks to 6314 comments that was made to this blog. I am averaging to 1 post per day and  I am planning to increase this post frequency but other personal matters is restricting me to do this.

Tech At Hand Dot Net started as a Personal blog and later become a mixed Tech and SEO blogs. This blog tackles present technology and some post about being Problogger and how to make money online. This blog also hijack keywords, so out of 1000 blog post you may found some post in the archives that is made for Search Engine and not for normal readers.  Sometimes those Search Engine visitors is becoming interested in those post and later become my regular readers.

I use Google Analytics to check growth of this blog. and I can say that Tech At Hand Dot Net has grown. I would also like to thank those groups and individual who have recognized my work in this blog.

They say that passing the 1000 blog post mark is really hard to attain , well that is why I am blogging about it, and I hope this will be an encouragement to others so that they will be able to continue their passion in writing in order to attain the same amount of post I made.

I only write those topics that interest me and can give additional income   . I can also say that God used this blog as an additional source of income for me and my family and I give glory to Him.

One thing I learn from blogging is to give your readers what they want and they will crave for more. It is easy to hijack keywords but you have to give them alternatives and you should show them that you did not bring them in your blog just to fool them.

I can say that It made some sites down for a mean time.

As a blogger we should also be very careful on what we are sharing in our blogs. We need to check the consequence of our action .  It might hit us back later.  We may earcn a few buck thru that traffic but it may drain in the future due to lawsuits that we might encounter. I am only a keyword hijacker and I don’t upload those kind of videos in my site   .  Check my archives and you will know what I mean.
