Time comes in our life that we experienced storm, But I still believed that storm only comes and pass by.

My father, Gerardo “Gerry” Panganiban, has been diagnose of having a kidney problem. Today,We have finally decided to make the dialysis of my father. After having different test which shows 1600 of Creatinine we have decided to do the dialysis of my father as recommended by the doctors. It is a tough decision since once the dialysis has been started, it will continue as long as the patient live. I have heard that there are still chances of that kidney will start functioning well even after the dialysis. Of course only God knows if this could happen since nothing is impossible to our God. (Our God is a God of Healer) Based on research in the net I have found out that we will need to prepare an amount that range from $1,000 to $1,200 a month for his dialysis. It is not an easy amount to produce. But the bible say in Philippians 4:19

And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

I believed that God will supply all our need according to his riches and glory. I pray and Ask wisdom from the Lord I have made a plan to raise my fathers financial support through passive and active income and here is what I plan to do.

1. I already purchased ” Kidney Therapy ” and I plan to populate it with different articles that will target keywords about kidney. The site will aim to give information to different people in order to prevent of having a kidney disease that could lead to a kidney malfunction.
2. I plan to have different social media site that will link to that site as an information resource.
3. Make a donation button from PayPal to all my site.

The site is now up and with few content. Any help to make this site work and become a passive income will definitely help me and my family. You may help us by doing the following:

You probably know the reason why, It is because we would like to make site keywords no 1 in Google and in Search Engine to earn from Ads and eventually will make a passive income to help my father dialysis. This year is a great year for Tech At Hand Dot Net, a year when I experience lots of things from high traffic, to Google AdSense ban, Panda update bomb and many more. But this year is the most fruitful year for me when it comes to financial blessings through this blog and my other blogs. So let me itemized the great things and opportunities that happen to me this year.

Here are some points to encourage new bloggers:

1. I manage to earn a net online income of six digit in Philippine Peso for one month and a constant five digit in Philippine Peso per month. (I am not a full-time blogger)
2. This year, I understood the importance of having collaboration and getting new ideas for this blog. I learn that blogging could be a business and I could enjoy blogging without being burn out. [ Blog as an investment ]
3. We were hit by Panda update and the traffic goes down to 50%. Some of the keywords which I am ranking for years have been hit by SEO Panda update. It’s an opportunity because it urge me to study again the new techniques of SEO nowadays. I started reading updates from different SEO blog that I am subscribed before.
4. We were given the Tech Blog Award by PEBA.
5. My blog earnings manage to pay the monthly amortization of our lot purchased at Antel Grand Village (It’s 27 T per month)
6. I have learned other sources of blog income aside from AdSense. Special thanks to Nuffnang and Marimedia.
7. We manage to close deals with some advertisers in this blog.
8. After my AdSense ban, I was able to know that Chitika (I reinstate my Chitika  gold account after the ban) also pays good and a great AdSense alternative.
9. Tech At Hand manage to have a new advertisers..
10. I have manage to increase my domains to 30+, some of them is just a protection domain to those earning domains. It is my prevention from domain squatting.

Below is a screen shot of my blog performance this year 2011, I manage to get 1 million Unique Visitors and 1.4 Million Page views. It is actually double than last year visit. As you can see Panda update have really affected our traffic. The big drop of traffic actually happen at mid of October. We have not yet recovered on that update. But I do hope that future update will be good for us. It was only on December when I manage to get back the AdSense of this blog. No AdSense in my blog from January to November of this year. But I still manage to get my online income as shown in #1. I have now reduced intrusive ads and replace it with AdSense.

There is really money in blogging, you just have to concentrate on what you are doing and think out of the box. Don’t forget to get some advise from others. Collaboration is also good. I will post y plan for next year by next week.

Tech At Hand has been in existence for more than 5 years and ever since, all blog post in this blog was written either by me or by my wife. I also consider blogging as a business and I am making money out of it. This is not my sole source of income but I could say that it also give a fair share of my monthly income. In fact, my blog earning is what I am using for paying the Lot that I bought at Antel Grand Village (site in progress) in Cavite, as I mentioned in my earlier post. I also love to do experiments and do something out of the box to try new idea and make it into action.

I am also busy doing offline job, which is the reason why updates on this blog is usually every other day or sometimes two times a week. But I can say that earning nowadays is better compared before. So to make a steady flow of traffic and engage more visitors, a constant fresh content is needed for a blog to survive in any updates of Google Algorithm. Content is still the King and Marketing is the queen.

I have come to an idea of investing to hire staff for this blog and for my other blogs. If I have staff to do the research for me, I can focus on handling the on site and offsite optimization. I also believe that a business person should try to know their strength and weaknesses. Those weaknesses shall be outsourced and the strength should be further enhanced.

I also believed that there is no successful business person that runs his business alone without any support from anyone. I will let you know how further updates and I hope it will be a successful experiment.

For now we are selling, Saudi Arabian Pre-paid Phone Credits, ( STC SAWA, Mobily and Zain ) but I know soon this could be more. My concept is a combination of Blog and E-commerce site.
