The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 2,224 out of 4,179 have passed the Midwife Licensure Examination.
The examinations were given by the Board of Midwifery in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga this November.
The successful examinees who garnered the ten (10) highest places are the following:

PRC said the members of the Board of Midwifery who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Alejandro R. San Pedro, chairman; members Dr. Remy B. Dequiña, Dr. Josephine H. Hipolito, Ms Lolita I. Dicang and Ms. Rhodora L. Lopez
The regulation agency said that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, November 24 but not later than December 8.
PRC said that those who will register are required to bring the following:
- duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal,
- current Community Tax Certificate (cedula),
- 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag),
- 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag),
- 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and
- 1 short brown envelope with name and profession
Theose who will register are alse required to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P450 and Annual Registration Fee of P420 for 2008-2011. PRC said successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees, as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional, will be held before the Board on Monday, December 15 at 1 p.m. at the Centennial Hall, Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila.
Registration for membership with the Integrated Midwives Association of the Philippines (IMAP) will start on Monday, November 24, said PRC.
PRC said that the top performing Midwifery schools in the November 2008 Midwife Licensure Examination are:
