I am very busy this days that is why I am behind on some of Blogging NEWS in the net. So WordPress 2.6 Beta 1 is about to be released by first week of July. I just upgraded to 2.5.1 and then there is again a new release :) anyway I believe that this new release will be for the benefit of the WordPress Fans all over the world. You can see the development from this site.

here are some of the New Features :

  • Version/revision saves a copy of a post every time you edit it, allows you to view (not edit) each of those copies (revisions), Shows forward (in time) diffs between any two revisions.
  • Add paging of Themes in Design panel
  • Word Count displayed when writing and editing posts and pages
  • Press This bookmarklet
  • Add sorting to gallery
  • Export/import post excerpts
  • Theme Previewer
  • Check (assigned) Categories at top Category box in Write/Manage Post
  • Show when a term is both a tag and a category
  • Wider Profile fields
  • TinyMCE 3.1
  • Two categories can have sub-categories with the same name

Great list, I just hope it does not add up to WordPress Vulnerability to Hackers.

    Just get the wordpress automatic update plugin. Anytime you want to upgrade your wordpress or a plugin click on update and you will be done in less than 30 secs. No sweet/No hassle
