Beware : Blogspot is Marking Some Site as " potential spam blog "

Blogger- Create your Blog Now I was surprised to see that Blogspot is marking some site as a Potential Spam Blog. I saw jun auza report about his http://philippineboardexamresults.blogspot.com/ being marked by Blogspot as potential spam blog. And what amazed me is that “Jehzlau Concepts” is also one of the site being marked as potential spam blog. I don’t know what google is upto by doing this things. I have some blogs hosted at blogspot and they are all earning a passive income. That means it is earning everyday even I update it very seldom.

We will take a look at your blog and unlock it within four business days. Please note that if we do not hear from you within 20 days, we will remove your blog. If this blog does not belong to you, then you do not have to do anything. Any other blogs you may have will not be affected.

So what will be a preventive solution for this scenario I proposed the following :

If you are just a new blog and you are thinking of earning thru your blog I suggest that you invest some amount for that blog and get your own domain and hosting company
If you have already lots of post and you are afraid that this might happen to you I suggest you have back up your blogspot blog thru WordPress.com. But be sure your wordpress.com is set to block the Search Engine Crawler or set it so that only your specified viewer can view it. But why ? This is to prevent duplicate content.
If you have made Suggestion # 2 be sure to back up your xml file in your hard disk by making an export of those file. So that you can use it if in case you want to get a new Self Hosted WordPress Blog. Remember you cannot earn from your wordpress.com account since this is in violation to their TOS.
It is better to have your own domain name so that you can still control the URL when some problem exist.

Better to be preventive than to be sorry later on. BTW as of this writing I have made some back up of my Blogspot Blogs.. Still on going..

Bale depende yan sa gustong mong usage .. kung marami kang anticipated visitors galing sa old site mo.. Approximate budget siguro mga PHP 1,800 per year pero kung di naman gaano ay ok na siguro yung 1,080 per year. ( kasi mga approximate 600 pesos yung domain name per year.

dex, what’s the basis of blogger to mark jehlau’s site a potential spam blog? is it maybe because of the outgoing links?

well yung template na sinasabi mo or theme ay available for download free sa maraming mga site.kaya di magkakaproblema.

Both site mentionedhas bought know to be optimized very well. Siguro one f the factor is optimization which is not as per the site niche.. well this is still a guess.. need furher investigation..

I guess my move was just right on time. In any case, this is really alarming. I’m just wondering, what’s their flag criteria for these blogs? High traffic? Inbound links? Blogger has to come out with clarified statement regarding this.

Hmm, I have a couple of blogspot blogs that I use to get ranked in Google and drive traffic to other sites. They’re not real “blogs” so they could be a target for this automated nonsense, but they’re not spam because they’re pages with lots of legitimate info. I’ll cross my fingers…

Up to now my blog is still locked. I already wrote an open letter to Blogger in my last blog post. I need support from Blogger/Blogspot publishers who are victims and soon to be victims of their “buggy spam detection bots”. Thanks.
